Your senses take things in. A thought comes back to you out of nowhere. You ask yourself what time this afternoon's meeting is. Before you fall asleep, the day runs past once more. Reteum does the same four things for what you write, say, photograph and save. TAKE IN • Save anything from one box: photos, videos, links, files (PDFs and documents), a few typed words or your voice. • Photos and videos keep the time and place they were taken. • Catch a thought in a second from a widget, the Lock Screen, Control Center or Siri: "Add a thought to Reteum". RECALL • Each time you open the app, old notes come back, up to three, like memories that surface on their own. • Swipe right to keep one, left to clear it. Notes you no longer need go before they pile up, so what you keep stays worth finding. SEARCH • Search the way you remember: "Seattle last month", "beach", "when is the dentist?". • An on-device AI model searches by meaning, so you don't need the exact words. • Find photos and videos by what's in them. • The words inside PDFs and documents count in search, and link previews show what you saved. CONNECT • The Atlas sorts everything by subject on its own, and links the thoughts that belong together. • Open a subject to see how its thoughts connect. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Both AI models run on the phone. No account, no cloud AI, no analytics, no ads. • Keep your thoughts in iCloud if you like: they survive a lost phone and move to your next one, end-to-end encrypted, so only your devices can read them. • Export everything as one zip file, with a Markdown copy you can read anywhere. • Reteum is now free for your first 100 thoughts, with everything included. Reteum Pro adds unlimited thoughts and import. • Photo and video search is much better, most of all in Japanese, Chinese and Korean, with a new on-device model (EmbeddingGemma 2). After the update, your photos and videos are looked at again in the background. • The Atlas groups your notes into subjects more accurately. • The first screen's old thought now shows links with their picture, title and site, and plays videos reliably. • Videos synced from iCloud: if one is still downloading, you see its picture and progress, it jumps to the front of the queue, and it plays as soon as it arrives. • Search: words like "today", "last week", a place, or "photo" now count alongside what you mean instead of narrowing the results, so "today meeting" also finds yesterday's meeting, with today's first. • Scrolling the matches as you type works from the first touch. • Press and hold the old thought on the first screen to write a new thought linked to it. • The Paste button for a copied link now shows for links copied from any app. • Deleting a thought and discarding a new one now ask first; Delete and Cancel are red, and Save stands out more. • Support for iPhone Duo. • Smaller fixes and improvements.
