Canopus puts your local AI agent on your iPhone and iPad. Connect it to the AI you run on your own PC or server, then type or talk to it, with every model and every setting in your hands. Named after the bright star sailors steered by, it keeps your AI close to home.
BRING YOUR OWN PC OR SERVER
Canopus contains no AI of its own, and we do not provide a server. Enter the address of a backend you run on your PC or server that implements the Canopus API, and choose from the models it offers, per chat. The agent itself runs on your server, with its models and tools. Every request goes there and nowhere else. What the app can do depends on your server.
AI AGENT
Ask anything and watch the answer stream in as clean Markdown, with code blocks you copy in one tap. The agent can search the web, read pages and, with Canopus Pro, make images, videos, music and speech when your server offers them. Attach a photo, a video, a PDF or a voice recording, and export any conversation as a PDF or Markdown file. Give any chat its own instructions, and Enhance turns a rough draft into a clear, structured prompt. Every conversation is saved, titled and easy to find, rename or delete.
EDIT WITHOUT GUESSWORK
Ask the agent to trim a video, crop or rotate a photo, change the frame rate or speed, remove the sound, keep only the sound, take a still or convert a file. These edits are exact, not generated.
YOUR MODELS, YOUR SETTINGS
Pick the model each kind of media uses and set what your server offers for it, like the size, the length or a style switch for an image model. Leave a setting on Ask and the agent asks you in the chat before it makes anything. When your server adds a model or a setting, it shows up here without an app update.
VOICE MODE
Tap the orb and just talk. Your server turns your words into text, the agent answers out loud in the voice you choose, and it stops when you interrupt. Everything said is saved to the conversation.
YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU
No account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no tracking. Conversations and media are stored on your device in an encrypted database that is excluded from iCloud backup. Erase everything from Settings in one tap. Back up your conversations, with their files, to your own server and restore them from there.

Lock the app behind a passcode, with Face ID to unlock.

CANOPUS PRO
Text replies, file attachments and all your chats are free, with no limits. The free version shows small banners for our other apps. Canopus Pro adds image, video and audio replies, media edits and voice mode, and removes the banners. Choose monthly, yearly (it starts with a free week) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Apple account settings.
