Type a word, get a first draft of a tiny cross-stitch pattern, then make it yours. Your first 2 patterns are free, plus 5 ready-made ones to stitch.

Type a word or two, like "a little croissant, perhaps?", and PetitMotif turns it into a small cross-stitch pattern with real DMC thread colors, a symbol chart and a thread list. Made for beginner and casual stitchers: small grids, few colors, finished in an evening.
No accounts. No ads. No hundred-page chart you'll never finish.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Type an idea (up to 50 characters), tap one of the idea chips, or tap "Surprise moi" and we'll fill in an idea for you.
2. Tap "Generate pattern". It takes seconds.
3. Look at the chart. Every color has its own symbol, and the thread list names each DMC thread you need.
4. Edit it until it feels like yours: swap any thread for another DMC color, or change individual stitches.
5. Stitch along on your phone, or save the chart to Photos and print it.
WHY TINY?
Small patterns get finished. Yours will usually be around 20 to 32 stitches a side, usually with 5 to 8 thread colors, so there are fewer threads to buy and less to stitch. It is a cross-stitch you can finish in an evening, not a someday project.

IN-APP PURCHASES
PetitMotif is free to download, and five ready-made patterns are built in. To generate new patterns of your own, you use credits, and you can buy a pack whenever you need more:
• Petit: 5 patterns
• Bon: 15 patterns
• Grand: 40 patterns
These are one-time purchases. They never expire, and there is no subscription. One pattern uses one credit, and if a pattern can't be made, no credit is used. Your credit balance is kept on our server under your app's random install code, with no account, and it doesn't move to a new phone by itself; contact us and we'll help.
A NOTE ON AI
When you tap "Generate pattern", the text you typed goes to our server, which sends it to Google Gemini to check it against our rules and to draw the picture. PetitMotif then turns that picture into your stitch pattern.
We keep your prompts, the pictures, your patterns and simple usage events (like which buttons were tapped) for 90 days to improve the app, and then they are deleted; only your credit balance and purchase record are kept longer. They are tied to a random ID for your install, not to your name. There are no accounts, no ads, and we don't track you across other apps. Details are in the privacy policy.
PetitMotif is built to make original designs, so we try not to stitch famous characters, logos or artists' styles. Some ideas stitch better than others, and a simple, concrete idea is a good place to start, like a red mushroom or a sailboat. If you don't like what you get, reword it and try again.
