Written for the Apple Pencil: seven kinds of puzzle, solved in your own handwriting on a page that never nags. No ads, no account, no tracking. A puzzle magazine you solve with a pencil. Ink Gazette is set like a newspaper and written for the Apple Pencil. You write your answers by hand, straight into the squares, and the page reads your handwriting on the iPad itself. No Pencil? Play with your finger and a keypad below the grid instead. SEVEN KINDS, ALL MADE IN-HOUSE - Sudoku - Killer sudoku - Kakuro - Nonograms - Word searches - Crosswords - Arrowwords Sudoku, killer sudoku and nonograms are graded by difficulty, from easy to extremely hard. Kakuro, crosswords, arrowwords and word searches come in sizes, from small to large. Every puzzle is generated and checked here. Today's puzzle is free, and the collection holds thousands more. CHECKING IS YOURS TO ASK FOR The page never marks an answer while you are still thinking. Tap Check when you want to know where you stand; in most puzzles wrong squares then turn red and right ones green. If you prefer, the page can check by itself once the grid is full or while you write. Stuck for good? Reveal fills in the solution, and the puzzle counts as finished rather than solved. MADE FOR THE HAND - Your handwriting is recognised on the iPad. Nothing you write leaves it. - Rest your hand on the page: a stray touch just before the Pencil lands elsewhere is undone. - Choose "Pencil only" and the grid ignores fingers altogether. - The eraser sits at the top of every puzzle. In sudoku, killer sudoku and kakuro you can also scratch a digit out. - "How it works" explains the page in one go, and every kind has its rules a tap away. QUIET BY DESIGN - No advertising. Anywhere. - No account and no sign-in. Open it and start. - No tracking, no analytics, no crash reporting. The app has no network code of its own; the subscription goes through Apple. - Every puzzle is already on your iPad. It works on a plane, in the garden, up a mountain. In English, German and French. The word puzzles are written separately for each language. SUBSCRIPTION Ink Gazette Subscription: one year, renewing automatically, US$29.99 a year in the United States; the price in your country is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you subscribe. The subscription renews every year unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it does. Manage or cancel it in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. It opens the whole collection, the archive of past daily puzzles, the weekly arrowwords and every issue of the magazine. Without it, today's puzzle and the sample issue stay free, and in your first week three puzzles of each kind a day.
