LH NULL is a modular music creation platform built for iPad. It brings sound synthesis, composition, logic, and real-time interaction together in one open environment. Build your own synths, instruments, effects, and musical structures, and develop sounds into complete pieces of music. SOUND DESIGN Build sound from source to output. • Sources: analog-style oscillators, wavetable, single-cycle waveforms, samples, noise • Synthesis: subtractive, FM, phase modulation, and phase distortion, combined within a single Patch • Waveform Shaping: bend, fold, and reshape waveforms to control harmonics and spectrum • Filters: a wide range of filters with resonance • Envelopes and dynamics: many envelope types and dynamic shaping, so timbre changes over time • Effects: a wide range of effects covering dynamics, tone, space, and stereo processing • Instrument building: multi-voice instruments, drums and percussion, custom effect chains Connect modules freely and change parameters and structure while it plays. Start with a simple instrument and grow it into a large modular system. SET THE RULES Design how the music system itself behaves. • Sequencing and rhythm: Note, Step, and CV sequencers, Rhythm Rings, independent clocks, BPM sync • Math and logic: arithmetic, comparison, conditions, signal selection and routing, counting • Probability and randomness: probability filters and random events, mixed with deterministic rules • Modulation: multiple LFO types, Phasor, and looping envelopes, so timbre and structure keep evolving Connect modules to build music systems that respond to conditions and evolve autonomously, without writing code. From precisely arranged electronic music to evolving generative pieces, you decide how the music develops. RESPOND TO THE REAL WORLD Bring outside signals into your Patches. • MIDI: notes, velocity, controllers, pitch bend, and modulation data • OSC: communicate with external software, devices, and control systems • Gamepad: reads sticks, D-pad, triggers, and buttons • Accelerometer and gyroscope: respond to the iPad’s motion and rotation • Camera: turns brightness and RGB color changes into control signals These inputs can drive sound parameters, logic, sequences, and events, and several can be used together in one Patch. Build interactive instruments, or sound systems that react to your body and surroundings.
