Moss Reading (青苔阅读)

EPUB, TXT, audiobook, no ads

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Moss Reading is a reading tool built around a native reading experience. Audiobooks can run fully on-device, so you can enjoy natural read-aloud even without a network. A clean, beautiful interface with adjustable reading backgrounds and typography gives you the best reading experience. Full iPad support. Key features · Local reading: import EPUB, MOBI, TXT, PDF, comic archives (CBZ / CBR / RAR) and single images — all in one library, readable offline. · Two layout engines, switch anytime: the original EPUB style engine renders the XHTML and CSS inside the package exactly as published, keeping the publisher's fonts, indents and illustration layout; turn it off and the app re-typesets the book as a Chinese-friendly layout. Bookmarks, highlights and reading progress are preserved when you switch. · Page turning: cover, curl, slide, vertical scroll and right-to-left manga paging, plus auto-scroll and auto-turn timers. · Notes and highlights: long-press to select text and take a note, with highlights, bookmarks and annotations; export to Markdown, TXT or EPUB. · Listen: three engines — system voice, on-device voice and online voice — with chapter pre-reading and a sleep timer. · Multi-device sync: sync your shelf, progress and notes through your own iCloud; content never passes through the developer's servers. · Appearance: themes and wallpapers, custom themes, menu styles, fine-grained font, size and line-spacing controls, and selectable home screen icons. · Home: customizable reading plans and reading time. · Liquid Glass (iOS 26 and later): panels, capsules and the home bar share one glass material; if it feels too bright or your device is older, switch back to the standard material with one tap in Settings. Privacy No ads, no third-party tracking, no personal data collection, no sign-up required. Apart from iCloud sync that you turn on yourself, and font or voice model downloads you choose to trigger, your data stays on your device. Important This app does not include any books, comics or website sources, and has no content library or server-side resources. Sources and texts must be added by the user. Users should comply with the terms of service of the source sites and the laws of their location, and read only content they are entitled to access.
