Helm Wars is a single-player fantasy strategy adventure for Mac. Guide the Wayfarer across beautifully illustrated floating islands, plan your route through numbered enemies, and grow strong enough to face each realm’s guardian.

The whole game runs locally on your Mac. No internet connection, account, subscription or in-app purchase is required to play. Your progress and audio preferences are saved on your Mac. Forge coins are earned through gameplay, never bought with real money.

Defeat enemies whose strength is lower than yours and absorb their strength. Recover runes, use multiplying shrines at the right moment, and choose the bridges that lead to victory. Equal strength means defeat, so every decision counts. Undo a move or retry a challenge as you learn.

Play 36 campaign adventures across Verdant Reach, Frostbound Isles and Ember Crown. Earn stars for efficient routes, collect forge coins and strengthen your champion with upgrades. Continue with endless expeditions featuring generated challenges.

Encounter Briar imps, stone wardens, Ironfang wargs, frost revenants and ember drakes. Four guardian families bring distinct animated final battles: Crown guardians, Thorn sovereigns, Rime empresses and Cinder wyrms.
A WORLD WITH CHARACTER
Detailed fantasy artwork, gently animated characters, battle sound effects and five looping music tracks bring the islands to life. Music and sound effects can be muted together or controlled separately. Reduced Motion is supported.

Import compatible local adventure packs to add maps and route-planning challenges. The included campaign and endless expeditions are playable without downloading any additional content.
