Roomlines helps you furnish your home before you buy or carry any furniture. Upload your floor plan, let the app detect the scale and drag your sofa, bed, wardrobe and table into the plan, true to scale. The app shows you the free distances in centimetres and tells you when something does not fit.
UPLOAD A FLOOR PLAN
• Photo or screenshot of a plan, PDF or image from Files
• Detect the scale automatically: the app reads room names and m² on the plan, finds the rooms and draws them, all on your device
• Or by hand: place two points on a known length or a rectangle on a room with a known area
• Several levels such as ground floor, upper floor and basement, each with its own floor plan
• No plan at hand? Create a blank plan with a grid and draw rooms, doors, stairs and steps yourself
FURNISH
• A large searchable list with about 40 furniture types and many standard sizes, from sofa to bathtub
• My furniture: add your own furniture with real dimensions, or tap Share → Roomlines in a shop
• Move, rotate, resize at the corner handle or type the dimensions in cm
• Snapping to walls and other furniture
• Your own dimension lines fixed in the plan, lock items in place
• Undo and redo
CHECK
• Free distances in cm to the wall or the next piece of furniture
• Issues when furniture overlaps, stands in a wall, blocks a door or stands on the stairs
SHOPPING
• For each item: buy, bought or owned, with price, shop and link
• Shopping list with totals, identical items grouped
LAYOUTS AND SHARING
• Save and compare several drafts per apartment
• Several apartments side by side, handy when you are looking for a new home
• Share the plan as an image or save it to Photos
• PDF for printing, true to scale on A4, with name, date and scale, plus the shopping list
• Plan together: send the apartment as a file via AirDrop or a messenger, the other person opens it in Roomlines and keeps planning
FAIR AND PRIVATE
Roomlines is free, with no subscription, no ads and no account. Your plans stay on your device: they are not stored on any server, and the app does not send any data about you to the internet.
A fictional sample apartment is included to try everything out. For iPhone and iPad, in light and dark mode. The app is available in English and German. All dimensions are metric (cm and m²).
