New: camera mode! Film your round with your face inside the letter ring and share it. Learn Spanish, French, German or Portuguese by saying words out loud.
Lettersay is a word game you play with your voice. Learn Spanish, French, German or Portuguese by saying the words out loud.
A ring of letters from A to Z fills the screen. For each letter you get a clue in English, and you say the word that starts with that letter in the language you're learning. The app listens and checks your answer right away. Stuck? Say "pass" and come back to it at the end of the round.
HOW TO PLAY
• Read the clue, say the answer
• Get it right and the letter turns green
• Don't know it? Say "pass" and try again later
• Finish all 26 letters in 90 seconds
• Somewhere quiet? Type your answer instead
CAMERA MODE
Turn on the front camera and your face appears in the middle of the letter ring. The round is recorded as a video you can save to Photos or share with friends. In the free version your first video is on us, and later videos come after a short ad; with Pro they open without an ad.
YOUR LEVEL
• 6 levels from A1 to C2, 5 rounds each (rounds 1 to 3 in the free version)
• Earn at least 1 star in a round to unlock the next one
• 1 to 3 stars per round, and stars earn coins
• Mix it Up! at the end of every level: a fresh ring every time (opens after round 3)
COMPETE
• Game Center leaderboards: all time and this week
• Daily streak: play every day and keep it alive
• Spend coins on hints, extra time, or to keep going when time runs out
WORD NOTEBOOK
The words you missed or passed collect in your Word Notebook. Practice them with flashcards: flip a card to see the meaning and hear the word. Words you learn come back after 1, 3 and 7 days.
NEW LANGUAGE PAIRS
Learning Spanish, French, German and Portuguese with English clues is new in this version, and the clues keep getting better. Spot a wrong clue? Report it with one tap.
The app is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese and Turkish. Clues come in your language, answers in the one you're learning. Spanish, German, French and Portuguese speakers can learn English, and Turkish speakers can learn English or Spanish.
FREE AND PRO
Lettersay is free to play: pick one language to learn, play the first 3 rounds of every level and see the first 3 words in your Word Notebook, with short ads at the end of rounds.
Lettersay Pro unlocks every language, every round, the whole Word Notebook and card practice, and Mix it Up! asks the words you find hard more often. No ads between rounds or before your videos. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
No account needed. Just start playing.
