Pigeon Loft is a cozy pigeon-keeping game rooted in the Turkish pigeon fancier tradition. Your grandpa left you a rooftop loft and a pair of tumbler pigeons. Where you take it from here is up to you.
A DAY ON THE ROOF
Morning: fill the feeder and the water dish, groom your birds, sweep the roof. Noon: send your flock up for a flight, train in the rain or enter a competition. Afternoon: haggle at the market and bid at the auction. Evening: bring the birds home, lock the door and see who knocks.
TUMBLERS IN THE SKY
Tap at the right moment and your pigeon flips in mid-air. A better bird gets a wider window. Rare finds, wind, fog and hawks make every flight a little different.
BREED AND COLLECT
Six breeds, from the Adana tumbler to the fan-tailed Kelebek and the homing Posta. Pair a male and a female, wait for the eggs and see which colour hatches. Hunt for the rare, hand-painted Yöresel purebreds and fill all 36 cells of the Pigeon Book.
TRADE LIKE A FANCIER
Every seller has a temper. Make an offer, take the counter-offer or walk away. Watch out for fake leg bands, rent a champion stud and outbid the regulars at the auction.
FROM THE NEIGHBOURHOOD TO THE WORLD
Climb the leagues from neighbourhood to district, province, region and all of Turkey. Impress the jury in tumbling shows and beauty contests, race your homing pigeon and earn an invitation to the World Pigeon Fair.
GROW YOUR LOFT
Move from a rooftop shed to an attic, a garden loft and a stone village dovecote. Add a Kangal guard dog, a GPS band, decorations and more.
