Trace letters with your finger, hear each one spoken, and earn stars for shape, stroke order and direction. Telugu and English language packs; numbers are free. Alphabet Trails teaches children to write letters the way a teacher would: not just the shape, but the order the strokes go in and the direction the pencil travels. Trace a letter with your finger and the app scores the attempt out of five stars: how closely you followed the line, whether you started each stroke in the right place, and whether you moved the right way. Get four stars or more and the confetti comes out. WHAT'S INSIDE • Numbers: 0 to 9, free • Telugu: all 52 letters, vowels and consonants, each with its own stroke guide (language pack) • English: the full alphabet, uppercase and lowercase (language pack) • 114 letters in all, each with a real recording of how it sounds HOW IT WORKS • Follow the dotted guide with your finger. The numbered dot shows where the pencil goes down, and the arrows show which way to go. • Hear each letter spoken before and after you trace it. • Earn up to five stars, with spoken encouragement whichever way it goes. • Many letters can be written correctly in more than one way, and every correct way is accepted. A child is never marked down for a different, valid stroke order or number of strokes. • Your best stars for each letter are kept, so a shaky retry never erases progress already earned. • A progress ring shows how far you've come through each group of letters. • A day and a night scene, switched with the sun and moon. FOR GROWN-UPS • A settings page behind a grown-up check: appearance (automatic, light or dark), sound, spoken tips, restoring purchases and sending us feedback. • No ads, ever. • No accounts, no sign-in, no personal details. • Nothing is collected. Progress is stored on the device only. • Every letter, sound and guide is inside the app, so no internet connection is needed to learn. • Numbers is free. Language packs are one-time purchases, never subscriptions, and come back automatically on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. • A grown-up check comes before any purchase. Fairer stars: a letter traced in the right shape but with strokes out of order, joined or backwards now earns four stars and a tip, while any approved way of writing it still earns five. Smaller download on Android, plus small fixes.
