Send every link to the right browser and profile – automatically, by domain or by the app it comes from. Private, local, no account. LinkLane decides where your links open. Set it as your default browser once, and every link you click in Mail, Slack, Teams, Notes or any other app goes to the browser and profile you chose – work links in your work profile, personal links in your personal one. GUIDED SETUP On first launch, a short setup assistant walks you through your browsers and profiles, what happens without a matching rule, your first rules and the default browser. Every step can be skipped and changed later. RULES THAT STAY SIMPLE • Match a domain exactly or including its subdomains, optionally narrowed to a URL prefix. • Route by source app: for example, all links from your team chat open in the work profile. • The first matching rule wins. Reorder rules by drag and drop, test any link before saving, and undo every change. • Without a matching rule, LinkLane opens your default target or lets you choose each time. CHOOSE ONCE, WHEN YOU WANT Hold fn or Shift while clicking a link to pick a browser and profile just for this link – your rules stay untouched. PRIVATE WINDOWS Send chosen links to an incognito, InPrivate or private window – even in a specific profile. Links opened privately are never saved in LinkLane's history. LINKS IN APPS Open Zoom, Teams, Figma and Spotify links directly in their apps. Other links from the same rule can use a browser – only if you want. CLEANER LINKS Optionally remove known tracking parameters such as utm_source or fbclid, and unwrap redirect links from Google, Outlook, Facebook and others. Everything happens on your Mac; LinkLane never contacts a server. UNDERSTAND EVERY DECISION The local link history shows which rule, fallback or manual choice opened each link, from which app it came and what it was cleaned up from – and lets you create a rule from any entry. SHORTCUTS AND SERVICES Use the actions "Open Link with LinkLane" and "Choose Browser for Link" in Shortcuts and the Share menu, or open selected links via the Services menu. SUPPORTED BROWSERS Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Dia, Firefox and Safari. Fixed profiles are available for all of them except Safari, which chooses its profile itself; Firefox profiles come from Firefox's profile manager. Fixed profiles and private windows require the free, separately downloadable LinkLane Helper (see linklane.app), because the App Store version is not allowed to launch browsers with these options. Without the helper, all other features and targets work as usual. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no tracking, no analytics, no network service. Rules and history stay on your Mac. Export your settings to a file and import them on another Mac. Also opens local HTML files from Finder through your default target.
