Linen Notes
Simple, free notes with photos
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Linen Notes is a simple notes app for iPhone and iPad. Write plain-text notes, add photos, and find them again in seconds. It is completely free: no ads, no subscriptions, no paid features and no tracking.
WRITE WITHOUT WORRYING
• Notes save as you type. "Saved on this iPhone" tells you when a note is safely stored.
• Works fully offline. Changes go to iCloud when you are back online.
• Earlier versions of a note are kept on your device, so you can go back.
PHOTOS AND TAGS
• Add several photos to a note from your photo library.
• Group notes with optional tags and filter the list by tag.
• Sort by newest, oldest or title.
FIND ANY NOTE
• Search the titles, text and tags of all your notes, right on your device.
• Search ignores letter case and accents, so "cafe" also finds "café".
SYNC THROUGH YOUR OWN iCLOUD
• Optional sync between your iPhone and iPad signed in to the same Apple Account.
• Your notes are kept in the app's private database in your iCloud account. The developer cannot see them.
• Each note shows whether it is saved on this device or uploaded to iCloud.
NOTHING DISAPPEARS BY ACCIDENT
• Deleted notes go to Recently Deleted and stay there until you restore them or delete them permanently.
• Duplicate a note, with its text, tags and photos.
• Export all notes as text files, photos and a notes.json file, and save them in Files or anywhere else. The export opens without Linen Notes.
MADE FOR EVERYONE
• Large, clearly labeled buttons and support for every text size.
• VoiceOver labels, light and dark appearance.
• Available in all 24 official languages of the European Union.
MADE FOR iPAD
• The note list and the open note side by side.
• Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘N for a new note, ⌘F to search.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
