Sensory-friendly and adaptive activities now carry a label: quieter, dimmer sessions such as Sensory Santa and relaxed performances, and programs for kids with disabilities. Turn on Sensory-friendly & adaptive in Filters to see only these, or open grassyknees.com/sensory-friendly. The organizer's name now sits under the title and opens their page and reviews. Listings without a photo show a clear poster with the date, place and price instead of a stock picture. The main button says Official site, and the price line carries the listing's own notes on getting in.

Listings lead with the way to reach the organizer: call, email or the registration page, with a message to the host one tap away. Hosts can add a public phone number and email to their listings, and see how many families called or emailed.

Tap "I'm going" or "I've been" on a listing and see how many families are going. Follow an organizer to get an email when they post something new. Browse by county, town or venue from Explore. Listings now lead with the way to reach the organizer: call, email or message the host. Listings posted by local hosts come first.

Promoted listings are now clearly labeled. A city's Sponsor and Featured events carry a gold "Sponsor" or "Featured" tag, lead your city's list and get a gold pin on the map. Change the sort, filter or search and the list goes back to its usual order. Organizers: the credits you buy in the app now also pay for Featured weeks, the weekend email and city sponsorships on grassyknees.com.

Now on iPad. Browse the list and read a listing side by side, in portrait or landscape, in Split View or Stage Manager. Faster loading. Each metro's list is about a quarter smaller, and when nothing has changed since your last visit, nothing is downloaded again. Contacts, sources and notes load when you open an activity. A tidier You tab. How it works, Privacy, Contact us, Acknowledgements and the app version now live together under About Grassy Knees.

Going today. On the day of an event, tap Going today and the outing stays on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island until it ends: where it is, when it starts, and directions in one tap. It also shows on Apple Watch and in CarPlay. It all stays on your iPhone. 22 more metros. Grassy Knees now covers all 32 metros on grassyknees.com, including Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Austin and Columbus. Halloween Beyond the Block now gathers more than 1,200 family Halloween events across those metros.

Host your own activities. Organizers can now post activities from the You tab: fill in a short form, and it goes live once it passes our automatic check. See how often your listing is shown, opened, saved and clicked, edit it later, save drafts, and reply to families in Messages. Posting is free until October 31. Sign out and Delete account now live in the menu at the top right of the You tab.
