This update puts Hegemonia on a diet. Lighter app: Hegemonia now takes far less space on your phone. App size: 231 MB ⇒ 80 MB. It used to download every picture at once, most of them for screens you never opened. Now each screen's pictures arrive the first time you open it and stay on your phone. If a screen takes a moment the first time, that's why; the next time it opens instantly.

Everything that piled up for iPhone arrives in one package: your achievements now unlock in Game Center too, the map shows how hard each country hits, and the wallet has been rebuilt. Game Center achievements: Until now, an achievement you unlocked only showed on your own profile. If you're signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, 20 achievements now unlock there too: the Soldier, Worker and Industrialist tiers, Level 10, 20 and 40, founding a party, a state or a newspaper, and more. Check the list in Game Center to see how close the next one is. Strike power on the map: No more checking profiles one by one to size up a neighbour. Strike power now sits next to Population on the map: each country is shaded by the total damage you'd get if every citizen hit once with a full army, and the number sits on top of the country. Tap a region to see where that country ranks in the world. As your level, Military Power and Headquarters grow, your country's number grows too. CASH notices name the sender: When someone sent you CASH, your balance went up quietly and figuring out who sent it was up to you. Now the notice reads "@Name sent you 1,500 CASH", and the bell shows the sender's photo, name and level. Tap the row to open their profile; they might deserve a thank-you. Wallet: Tap your balance and the wallet now opens as a full page, with your moves in one list, day by day. When someone sends you CASH, or you send it to someone, the row shows that player's photo, name and level; tap it to open their profile. No more scrolling back through chat to find out who paid you. Names for your moves: Rows that said "Other" in the wallet never told you what they were. Now each one has its own name: Coup joined, Rebellion joined, Region donation, Raffle prize, Application fee, Factory upgrade and more. One look at the row tells you where the money went. Persian: Until now, Persian speakers fought their wars through English or Arabic menus. If your phone is set to Persian, the game now opens in Persian on its own: menus, battle screens and region names are in Persian, and pages read right to left. Playing in another language and curious? Pick فارسی from the Language list in Settings. There's a Persian chat room too, so it's a good time to bring along a friend who speaks it. Fixes: - In Daily supply, the zone buttons on the Supply drop card overflowed in Arabic; the card now grows with its buttons.

This version is mostly about the map: battles finally look like battles, and you can see at a glance who rules the world. Wars on the map: When a region was under attack, the map showed dashed red arrows; they moved, but they didn't look much like a war. Now a fireball rises from the attacking region on a high arc, trails its tail down next to the swords and kicks up a burst of dust. Every front fires at its own pace, so when you open the map you see where the fighting is at a glance, and you can tap the swords to join the war. Map mode: To see how many players stood in a region, or which treasury held oil, you had to open regions one by one. Map mode, under the zoom buttons, switches between Political, Population, Treasury (CASH, Gold, Oil, Uranium, Boron) and Indexes (Education, Development, Health, Military, Missile system, Sea port): regions go from red to green, and the legend keeps the top 3 regions and All. Tap a region to see where it stands, like "12 players here · #1 in the world". Hegemony meter: On the Political and Blocs maps there is now a Hegemony meter at the top. The gold bar shows your state's share of the world's open regions (on Blocs, your bloc's); the 5%, 10%, 20%, 33% and 70% lines tell you how far the next tier is. If someone else is ahead, their name and flag sit right next to it. Tap the meter to open the list of states or blocs. Hegemon titles: How much of the world you rule is now written on your state's page. When your state holds enough regions for a week, it earns a title, from Great Power all the way to World Hegemon. A state that loses its title is remembered as a Former Hegemon, and one that wins it a second time becomes a Dynasty. A state that can't pay its upkeep shows Treasury in debt; open any state's page to see who stands where. Weapon cost in Army: When ordering at the workshop, you had to hop between Market, recipes and discounts to see what one weapon really cost you. Now Make it and Buy on market sit side by side under the order; the cheaper one is framed in gold, with the cost of 1,000 firepower below. If buying is cheaper, tap the cart and confirm on the same row. Open Details to see the materials, the workshop fee, the Engineering and party discount, and the CASH you'd get if you sell. Fixes: - When the market was busy, the screen said "Could not load" and didn't open; it now waits while listings load and refreshes itself. - On some phones copying or pasting text threw an error and broke the game; fixed. - Leaving the map while founding a state could close the game; fixed. - A music track that couldn't play on some phones closed the game; now only the music stops.
