Kadoo: Learn English for Kids
ESL First Words, ABC & Songs
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
A whole town to explore in English. Children find things, hear the words and collect them, with no reading needed. New places, rooms and songs keep coming.
Kadoo is a calm, colorful world where children aged 4 to 8 learn their first English words by playing, even before they can read.
Their own Explorer and a friendly puppy go with them everywhere. The Explorer says each word, the puppy shows where the thing is, and a little hand shows how to tap, drag or color. No instructions to read, no pressure: just looking, listening and finding.
A WHOLE TOWN TO EXPLORE
Start at home, then open the countryside, a restaurant, a hospital, a stadium, a park, a school, a hotel, the coast, space and a trip around the world. Each place has its own rooms, each room about fifty things to find, and every play puts different things in different spots.
WORDS THAT STAY
Kadoo brings each word back at the right moment, mixing new words with ones the child has met before. Every word found goes into the Backpack, where children can hear it again and play quick games with their collection.
LETTERS, NUMBERS AND SONGS
The ABC book fills up with letters as children find them in the rooms, each with its own sound and a thing that starts with it. Numbers go up to 100, words split into syllables, and 48 sing-along songs cover the alphabet, phonics, counting, words and the seasons.
FOR PARENTS
- Help in your child's language: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Portuguese (Brazil).
- Up to four children on one device, each with their own Explorer and progress.
- A play-time limit you choose, with a gentle goodbye when time is up.
- A parents' area behind a grown-ups' question, with the words learned, minutes played and what to practice next.
SAFE AND PRIVATE
No ads. No accounts. Kadoo collects no data: progress stays on your device. It works offline.
FREE AND FULL ACCESS
The house, the song "Sounds A to M", the alphabet and the photo album are free for one child. Kadoo Full Access opens every place, room, song and game for one child; Kadoo Family Plus does the same for two to four children. Both are available monthly or yearly, and include every new place, room and song as they arrive.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

Kadoo now opens without freezing, and the start screen and map appear faster.
Setup now asks which language your family speaks, and confirms your choice in that language.
Small fixes throughout.
