Works offline. The same recipe table as habitathydroponics.com, so the app and the website never disagree. HABITAT MIX 1.0: INFORMATION FOR APP REVIEW 1. SCREEN RECORDING Provided with this reply. The app has no account registration, login or account deletion, no user-generated content and no paid content or in-app purchases, so none of those flows exist. It starts at launch and shows the typical flow: Basic mode (pick a crop, change the target EC, the grams update), Advanced mode (server request and result) and a product link opening Safari. 2. PURPOSE AND TARGET AUDIENCE Habitat Mix is a fertiliser dosing calculator for hydroponic growers, home and commercial, mainly in Namibia and southern Africa, who mix their own nutrient solution. A grower knows the EC (electrical conductivity) of the water they start with, the EC they want and the size of the tank; the app tells them how many grams of each fertiliser product to weigh in. Working this out by hand is error-prone, and the website version is of no use in a greenhouse without signal, so Basic mode runs entirely on the phone. Advanced mode gives a full two-tank recipe from individual salts for growers who want more than the standard blends. It is a free companion to the calculator at habitathydroponics.com/pages/nutrient-calculator, published by Habitat Hydroponics, a hydroponics retailer in Windhoek, Namibia. 3. SETUP AND ACCESS Nothing to set up: no account, no credentials, no sample files, no system permissions. Install and open. Basic (default): Source EC 0.2, Target EC 1.4 and Tank 100 L are filled in. Tap Crop and pick one (for example "Tomatoes (3rd Flower Truss to End)"), choose Hygrotech or Aquasol Nutri, change Target EC: the grams per product update as you type. This also works in Airplane Mode. Advanced: tap "Advanced" at the top, pick a crop (for example Lettuce) and a source water (for example "Rain water / RO (pure)"), leave Target EC empty, tap "Calculate recipe". The server returns the recipe: grams per salt, split into tanks A and B, with the resulting EC. Needs internet; the last result stays on the phone. Tapping a product name opens its page on habitathydroponics.com in Safari. 4. EXTERNAL SERVICES - Habitat's own calculation service: a Google Cloud Function operated by Habitat Hydroponics, reached through our Shopify store's app proxy at https://habitathydroponics.com/apps/calc. Advanced mode sends the chosen formulation name, the source water's mineral figures, the tank volume and an optional target EC, and receives the recipe. When online the app also downloads the current recipe table from https://habitathydroponics.com/apps/calc/pack. Requests carry no user or device identifier and nothing is stored on the server. - Expo Application Services (EAS Update, the expo-updates module): on launch the app checks u.expo.dev for a newer JavaScript bundle of this same app version, published by us for bug fixes only. Standard Expo mechanism; we receive no user data from it. - Product links open habitathydroponics.com (our Shopify store) in Safari. No authentication, payment, analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or AI services. Inputs, the last Advanced result and the recipe table are stored only on the phone. 5. REGIONAL DIFFERENCES None. The app functions identically in all regions, in English (UK), with metric units. The fertiliser brands (Hygrotech, Aquasol Nutri) and the water presets (Windhoek municipal, borehole, rain/RO water) reflect the southern African market but are shown everywhere; nothing is geo-restricted. 6. REGULATED INDUSTRY / THIRD-PARTY MATERIAL Not a regulated industry: horticultural fertiliser dosing, no medical, financial or gambling content. The recipe table and the calculation engine are Habitat Hydroponics' own work, derived from the fertiliser manufacturers' published label analyses and published horticultural references. Hygrotech and Aquasol Nutri appear only as the names of fertiliser products we sell as a retailer. No third-party protected material is included.
