Genoa, 1261. You have a boat, a warehouse and a family name to make famous.
Fondaco is a pixel-art trading and strategy game: buy goods where they are cheap, carry them where they pay more and reinvest your profits in ships, captains and fondaci, from Savona all the way to Caffa on the Black Sea.
SHIPS THAT REALLY SAIL
Your ships set sail in real time and keep travelling even when the app is closed. Follow them on the map, watch them from the deck and, if you like, take the helm to arrive sooner.
A LIVING MARKET
19 goods, from grain to spices, from silk to furs. Prices drop if you sell too much, recover over time, change with the seasons and with market rumours. Knowing when to sell makes all the difference.
THE FONDACI
Open warehouses in Mediterranean ports: keep goods until prices rise, get better deals and earn income every hour.
CAPTAINS AND TROUBLE AT SEA
Hire captains at the tavern, each with their own skills and character. Storms and corsairs may strike at sea: you decide, or let your captain handle it.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND GENERATIONS
44 achievements with bronze, silver and gold medals. When your house is powerful, hand it to an heir: your fame lasts forever.
A TOUCH OF HISTORY
The Codex tells the story of medieval Genoa: the Treaty of Nymphaeum, the golden genovino, Pera, Caffa and the crossbowmen.
