Colorful icons and red badges are made to catch your eye, so you open apps out of habit. Potato Phone makes your iPhone boring, like an old flip phone. Pick the few apps you actually need, and a widget on your Home Screen lists just their names in plain type. No icons, no badges. Tap a name and the app opens. Move everything else off your Home Screen. It stays in the App Library, out of sight.
That's the whole digital detox: when there's less to look at, your iPhone is easier to put down.
It doesn't replace your Home Screen. You add a standard iOS widget, and the app shows you how, step by step.
After adding your widget, three optional setup steps help you tidy your Home Screen. Choose Later to skip them, or reopen them anytime from the app's Settings > Home Screen setup.
TEXT WIDGETS
• Page 1–6 widgets: up to nine app names each. Stack them to swipe between pages.
• Medium widgets show up to six apps in two columns, or seven to nine in three columns. Choose Large for a single column.

• Ready-made looks: Paper, Sage, Midnight and Rose, with coordinated fonts, spacing and colors

• Solid-color or subtle paper-texture surfaces
• Font, size, line spacing, weight, alignment, and letter case
• Keypad-style numbering and your own standby text, like an old feature phone
• Apply a look and save a matching wallpaper image to Photos. The same colors and finish are applied to your widgets after saving. Set the saved image as your Home Screen wallpaper in iOS.

• Make up to 10 lists of apps, each with up to 54 apps: one for work, one for the weekend, one for winding down.
• Let each Focus show its own list, or switch from Control Center (iOS 18 or later) and Shortcuts.

• Clear and Tinted use iOS's appearance effects in place of your chosen colors and paper texture. Use the normal Home Screen appearance to keep them.
PRIVACY
No account, no tracking, no analytics. Potato Phone collects no data, and your lists stay on your iPhone.
