Turn an address list into a map, bring your own geographic files, and see the data around a place—all in a native Mac app. Earth Pro is free to download and use, with no app subscription, in-app purchases, or Earth Pro account. Its original code is open source under MIT. Start exploring without a Google Maps API key. MAKE YOUR PLACES VISIBLE • Paste up to 250 addresses and plot them together. Review matches and unresolved addresses before adding pins. • Search with suggestions, then fly to a highlighted result. • Give pins distinct colors, shapes and icons. Add notes and organize places into folders. BRING YOUR PROJECTS • Import KML, KMZ, GeoJSON and complete shapefile ZIPs or folders. • View filled polygons, lines, source colors and legends where supported. Unsupported styles have a labeled fallback. • Draw paths and polygons, measure distances and land areas, and choose units and decimal precision. • Export supported places as KML for other mapping tools. SEE MORE THAN THE BASE MAP • Discover available parcels, zoning, flood zones, water, sewer and other public layers around your view or a chosen area. • Connect supported ArcGIS and GeoJSON sources, or search grouped data libraries for local data, imagery, historical maps and reference sources. • Inspect publisher update dates when available, separately from the last connection check. Coverage, access and reuse terms vary; catalog entries are not guaranteed working layers. • New library search covers nine provider entries. The other 22 entries provide reference links or manual setup. Satellite scene searches add coverage footprints and capture-date information, not raster imagery. EXPLORE CHANGE OVER TIME • Compare NASA daily satellite imagery and Esri Wayback archive releases. • Read capture dates where supplied; archive release dates are identified separately. • Add your own image overlays with bounds, rotation and opacity controls. • Save map images and record silent map videos. CHOOSE YOUR VIEW Explore a tiled globe, Apple Maps or OpenStreetMap without a Google key. Add your own compatible Google Maps API key for optional Google imagery and photorealistic 3D buildings and terrain where supported. Google API use may require enabled services and billing; provider charges are separate. Your key is saved in macOS Keychain. CONNECT YOUR TOOLS An optional local MCP connection lets a trusted AI client work with navigation, places, address lists, notes, layers, data libraries, source dates, overlays and recording. Local control starts enabled, uses a per-session token on your Mac, and can be switched off from the toolbar. Projects are stored locally; online features contact their selected providers. A DESKTOP OPTION FOR WHAT COMES NEXT Google has announced that new Google Earth Pro desktop downloads end June 25, 2027; existing installations can continue working. Earth Pro offers an independent desktop workflow for supported geographic projects. It is not affiliated with Google and does not reproduce every Google Earth feature or its historical imagery archive. BEFORE YOU USE THE DATA Online maps and live data require internet access. Search matches, source coverage, dates and 3D detail vary. Geometry limits can produce partial results; zoom closer and refresh. Elevation is approximate and not survey-grade. MIT covers the original app code and artwork, not third-party maps, datasets or services. The included data/service configuration is not cleared for commercial use as-is: the free Open-Meteo elevation endpoint is noncommercial-only. Commercial deployments must replace or properly license restricted services and check each source’s terms. See the website’s license and usage notice.
