Moonvale is a little town by the lake, and they say the spirit world is very close here. You've inherited its run-down Spirit Archive, empty since the old keeper vanished thirty years ago. Firefly, the Archive's chatty resident spirit, explains the job: listen for strange happenings, find lost spirits, and help them untie their knots.
SOLVE THE CASES
Explore an abandoned hospital, a clock tower that strikes thirteen and a market that only opens at midnight. Gather clues, connect them on the Evidence Board and decide how each case ends. Twenty-three story cases, ten hidden quests and a board full of requests from the townsfolk are waiting.
BEFRIEND SPIRITS
Meet seventeen spirits. Fourteen of them can walk at your side and lend you their powers: light up the dark, slip through bars, turn a machine back five seconds, grow a bridge of vines. Find out which spirits resonate together, and wherever the veil is thin, step between the human world and the spirit world.
FACE WHAT THE TOWN FORGOT
Hide from a frightened ghost in a hospital ward whose walls keep moving. Calm great spirits such as the Timekeeper and the Mist Leviathan in real-time fights where every attack is marked on the floor before it lands. If your courage runs out, you only retry the current phase.
A YEAR IN MOONVALE
Once the story is told, the year begins to turn: autumn, winter, spring and summer, with snow, a frozen lake and a festival every season. Fish for 44 different catches, row out to three islands, deliver the post between two worlds, make friends in town, look after little spirits in your own clinic and open the Archive to visitors. Replay any fight you've won in the Memory Theatre.
