Learn English, mental arithmetic and Python with a cat. Unit 1 of each part is free; one purchase unlocks everything. No ads, no account, works offline. Meow Lab is a learning app with three parts: Basic English, Mental Arithmetic and Python Basics. A kitten keeps you company, reads the sentences aloud and cheers when you get it right. BASIC ENGLISH • 8 units on sentence patterns and tenses, from "I walk every day" to relative pronouns • 4 units covering 2,000 basic words, each one used in a sentence • Three kinds of questions: put the words in order, fill in the blank, listen to a dialogue • Audio for every sentence and every word, in a female or male voice • Listening & Repeat Mode: play the sentences of a lesson over and over, at your speed and interval, even with the screen locked • Progress per question, review of your mistakes, self-check marks for repeat, shadowing and dictation MENTAL ARITHMETIC • 29 question types: whole numbers, decimals, fractions and equations (up to quadratics) • Cat Punch: numbers fly in, the kitten punches them, you pick the answer from four choices • Input: type the answer on the keypad • Every answer comes with step-by-step solutions, with fractions drawn as fractions • Results and best scores per question type PYTHON BASICS • 8 units from "Hello" to modules: read the code, fill in the blank, put the lines in order • A real Python console runs on your device: type code and see the output • Self-check questions after each lesson • Appendix: draw line, bar, pie and scatter charts and animations with matplotlib, right in the console EXPLANATIONS IN YOUR LANGUAGE Hints, translations, explanations and solution steps can be shown in Japanese, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese or Korean. In Cat Punch, every punch now makes a sound and the kitten says "Meow!" when you get it right. You can turn the sounds off with the new Sound effects switch. In the Python console, tap outside the code box or tap Run to close the keyboard. The App Store now lists the eight explanation languages.
