GaugeNest is a private logbook for instrument readings and equipment. Record what you measured, keep the evidence with the entry, and look back at the history on this device. Readings Register an instrument and capture a reading with its time, unit, and source. Save a draft and confirm it when it is ready. A correction keeps the previous value, time, and the reason for the change. Invalid or pending entries stay in the record and are left out of totals. Import readings from a CSV file, with validation and duplicate handling. Equipment Keep each asset separate from its instruments. Record installation, warranty, and rated references, mark the operating state, and set measurement channels. Build an inspection checklist, record maintenance, and schedule a one-time or repeating service plan. Attach evidence and follow the equipment timeline. Analysis Charts and comparisons use the readings you saved. Choose the source points, see the raw values, and check whether an interval is complete. Period totals describe the intervals you recorded. They are not filled in for missing time. Incompatible units are not combined. A suggested review stays separate from the decision you make. Records Search events across equipment and instruments. A meter replacement or reset stores both boundary values and splits the later history. Preview a report, then save a PDF snapshot with its source records. Export CSV or a JSON backup that includes the files you attached. Restoring a backup replaces the workspace on this device. It does not merge with what is already there. Evidence Photograph a reading, nameplate, or maintenance note, or choose a photo from your library. Cropping or rotating makes a new file and leaves the original in place. CSV exports list filenames and details. They do not embed the pictures. Your data Instruments, readings, photos, and reports stay in the app. No account is required. Totals, charts, and reminders are calculated from what you entered. They are not a calibration certificate or a safety approval.
