Everyone in Doyle's club lies. Catch each lie as it's spoken, name the killer, then decide at dawn: turn them in, or let them go. Chicago, 1929. A speakeasy owner they call the Blind Owl is shot during the last set, and every suspect in the club is lying to you. Shepit is a noir detective game: a 1920s murder mystery you play in short nights of 15 to 20 minutes. Search the club, question the suspects, catch each lie as it's spoken, and name the killer. How a night plays • Search six rooms for clues. Look closer, and some of them show more. • Question a singer, the owner's old partner and a dockhand who installs safes. Each one has a reason to lie. • When a line doesn't match the evidence, call it a lie. Then show the clue that breaks it. • Accuse: name who did it, how, why, and when they had the chance. • You get two accusations. Miss twice and the case goes cold. • At dawn, decide: turn the killer in, or let them go. Three versions This night has three versions, each with a different killer. Solve one, then play another: same club, a new killer. Night 2: The Cloakroom Snowed in, a theft at the coat check. No body this time: follow the thief, and the favors you earned in Night 1 open doors. Leo's story The bandleader Leo Marsh is jailed for a murder, and he is lying to you to protect Teddy, a 19-year-old pianist. In four parts, Monday to Thursday, clear the boy, catch the real killer, and at the inquest choose: tell the truth, or cover for a friend under oath. Made for short sessions Your progress saves as you go, so you can stop in the middle of a night and pick up later. Painterly noir scenes, voiced characters and jazz-age music. Free forever. No ads, ever. No in-app purchases. Why "Shepit" Shepit (said SHEH-peet) is Ukrainian for "a whisper". In the game, the Whisper is a man's voice that slips notes under your door. Stuck? Ask him once a night: he points you to a room, and he never solves the case for you.
