ENTER A DOMAIN, GET THE FACTS - Name servers, website address, mail servers (MX) - SPF with its DNS lookup count, DMARC and MTA-STS - DKIM keys: the app tries a long list of common selector names, and reads the exact selector from an email header that you paste - CNAME records, and an optional subdomain search MAIL SERVICES The app recognizes common mail services from the records of a domain, such as Hornetsecurity, Proofpoint, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Proton, Fastmail and IONOS. For each one it shows which DKIM records are set up, which are missing, and the exact name and target to add. RECOMMENDED DNS CHANGES Every problem comes with a fix: the record type, name and value. Copy a record as a zone line, share a single finding, or send a report by email. COMPARE AND KEEP See what changed since the last check, or compare any two checks. Your history is saved on your phone only. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account and no tracking. The app reads public DNS records and does not change anything. Lock the app with Face ID, and hide domain names on screen. The subdomain search is off until you turn it on. DNS Domain Detective is made for IT administrators, consultants and anyone who runs their own domain.
