CDC Cyprus Diving Companion is a free app for scuba divers in Cyprus. It has no ads, no accounts and no in-app purchases, and most of it works offline at sea.
PLAN THE DIVE
• A dive score from 0 to 100 for every site, based on waves, swell, wind, current and estimated visibility. Shore and boat sites are scored differently.
• The legal scuba hours for the day at the exact site, from one hour after sunrise to one hour before sunset. The designated night-dive areas are on the map.
• Hourly charts, a 7-day outlook and a ranking of where to dive today.
• Sea temperature, a seasonal estimate of the temperature at depth, wind, waves, current, UV, sunrise and sunset.
OFFLINE MAP
• A street-level map of the whole coast stored in the app, with the exact coastline and seabed depths.
• 18 wrecks, 40 dive sites and 62 dive centres, each with depth, level, history, hazards and contacts.
• Restricted areas: ports, sea caves, firing ranges and marine protected areas.
• Wind and current particles, wave height and sea temperature, with a 48-hour time slider.
• Tap anywhere for the depth. Measure distance and compass bearing for a shore swim.
LOG AND PLAN
• A logbook that fills in the conditions for you, with SAC rate, sightings, statistics and CSV or backup export.
• A no-fly and Troodos mountain-road timer after diving, based on DAN guidance.
• A dive planner: no-stop times, nitrox MOD, EAD and best mix, gas and rock-bottom planning.
KNOW THE SEA
• The Cyprus diving rules in plain language.
• A marine life guide with 68 illustrated species. Protected, invasive and dangerous species are marked.
• An emergency page with 112, hyperbaric chambers, DAN and first aid for stings and decompression illness.
• 8 colour themes, metric or imperial units.
CDC is an independent information app built on open data from Open-Meteo, EMODnet, OpenStreetMap and official sources. It is not a government service and does not replace training, a dive computer or a dive guide's briefing. Always dive within your limits and with a buddy.
