Your NIN and BVN are used to open bank accounts, apply for loans and verify your identity. Today you usually find out about misuse only when a debt collector calls or an account appears in your name. Verath changes that.
HOW IT WORKS
• Protect your identity: add your NIN and/or BVN and prove they are yours, so nobody else can monitor them.
• Get alerted: when a bank, lender, fintech or verification provider connected to Verath checks your identity, you get an alert with who checked it, when, and why.
• Say “Not me”: one tap sends a dispute to the institution’s fraud team, so they can stop it early.
• See your history: every check Verath has received for your identity, in one place.
BUILT FOR PRIVACY
• Your NIN and BVN are encrypted the moment they reach us and are never shown in full again.
• Institutions never learn who an alert went to, and can’t combine their data to track you.
• Verath never sees your bank accounts: no account numbers, balances or transactions.
• Lock the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
• Download your history or delete your account and data at any time.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Verath alerts you about checks reported by institutions connected to its network. Coverage grows as more partners join.
• Verath does not move or recover money. For fraud, contact your bank first; the app gives you clear next steps.
• Verath will never ask for your PIN, password or a one-time code.
