Ruban: Music Server Player
Stream your own music library
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your music, your server, no subscription. Stream your own library in lossless quality with gapless playback, offline downloads and a full-screen cassette mode.
Ruban plays the music you already own, straight from your Navidrome or OpenSubsonic server, or from files on your iPhone.
Built for listeners who care about sound and about their library:
• Gapless playback, ReplayGain and adjustable crossfade
• FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, Opus, Vorbis, AAC, MP3 and DSD
• The real quality of every file, shown on each track, from compressed to studio
• Offline downloads of albums, playlists and artists, Wi-Fi only if you prefer
• Automatic transcoding on cellular to save data
• 10-band equalizer, bass boost and presets
• Synced lyrics, sleep timer and A-B repeat
• Playlists, favorites, ratings and scrobbling, synced with your server
• Internet radio stations from your server
A player with character
Browse your library in a two-axis menu over a living wave of light that takes the color of your album art. Turn your iPhone sideways while a song plays and it becomes a full-screen cassette, reels spinning and tape counter running.
Works with your server
Navidrome, Gonic, Airsonic and other Subsonic-compatible servers. Add several servers, connect over your home network or the internet, and keep your passwords in the iOS Keychain.
Made for iPhone and iPad, with Home Screen widgets, a Control Center control and Siri Shortcuts.
Ruban collects no data. No account, no ads, no tracking.
Ruban does not include any music: you need your own server or your own music files.
