Mahalleden Yıldıza ("From the Streets to the Stars") is a life story told in cards. People step up one at a time: your mom, your dad, your little brother Efe, your best friend and blood brother Selim, Hasan Abi the corner grocer, coaches, agents, journalists… Each of them wants a decision from you. Swipe the card left or right, and your life turns that way.
FOUR GAUGES, ONE RULE
Form, Money, Family and Fame. If any of them hits zero, your career is over. You can't keep them all happy at once; every season, you give something up.
ONE LIFE, FOUR ACTS
From 14 to 34, every year is a season. A promise you make in one act comes knocking two acts later. A page you glimpsed in the grocer's ledger at 14 opens again in a hospital room at 30.
NOT EVERYONE BECOMES A FOOTBALLER
Skip the tryouts and take the exam instead, and a different life opens up: school, the office tower, a company of your own. Whatever path you take, the neighborhood never lets you go.
BETWEEN THE CARDS
In the last minute of the derby, the shot is yours to take. At the penalty spot, you decide whether to risk a cheeky Panenka chip, and the next morning you read the headlines you earned. At the press conference, you either have the room laughing or walk into a firestorm.
HEARTS
Your mom, your dad, Efe, Selim, Hasan Abi… Each of them keeps a row of hearts for you, and every decision you make wins or loses someone's. At your farewell match, only the people whose hearts you've won take their seats in the stands; where someone stayed away, a message waits on the empty seat.
GENERATIONS
The story doesn't end when you hang up your boots. Carry on as your child: the neighborhood pitch you saved from becoming a mall, Hasan Abi's old ledger kept at home and the rival you made peace with all pass down to them. They might break the cycle you never could.
DAILY CAREER
A new deck every day, and everyone starts with the same cards. Share your result and grow your streak on the calendar.
