What lies in that direction?

iPhone
Fold your iPhone Duo to 90° and hold it like a surveying instrument: the compass rose turns below, and above you see what lies in that direction.
Peilung shows you what lies in the direction you’re facing. Hold your iPhone Duo at 90° in front of you like an old bearing compass: the compass rose lies below, and above, a window opens onto the horizon. Places, cities and the sun sit right where they really are. Aim at one and a card shows its name, distance and direction.
• Nearby: the closest towns and cities within 250 km
• World: capitals and landmarks from Berlin to Sydney, with the great-circle bearing
• Sky: sun, sunrise and sunset with times
• My places: save where you parked, pitched your tent or found that café, and find your way back
• Signpost: when folded, the outer display shows a big arrow to your saved place
• Two looks: “Instrument” in navy and amber, or “Classic”
• Works on every iPhone: held flat, Peilung works just the same, without the fold
Peilung works completely offline. No account, no ads, no tracking. Your location and places stay on your device.
