Sent to the shops and can't remember what to get? DAD Shopping List is the simplest shopping list there is — made for the dad who needs to go shopping but never remembers what was on the list.
1,721 PRODUCTS READY TO GO
Everything you'd find in a South African shop is already in the app, sorted by shop section: fruit & veg, meat, bakery, dairy, braai, cleaning, baby, pets, pool & garden and more.
• 600 everyday items — boerewors, mielie meal, rusks, braai wood…
• 1,121 branded products with their pack sizes — Mrs Ball's Chutney 470g, Jungle Oats 1kg, Nescafé Gold Cappuccino, HTH Chlorine 10kg, Koo Baked Beans 410g and many more
• 150 Woolworths own-brand favourites — search "woolies milk" and they're there
Spelling doesn't matter: "capicino" still finds Cappuccino. Can't find something? Type it in.
ADD ITEMS FAST
Tap + and type. Tap Add — the item goes on the list and the box clears for the next one. Done when you're done.
ONE LIST PER SHOP
Add your own local shops — the supermarket, the butcher, the farm stall, the bottle store or the pharmacy — and put each item in the shop where you buy it. In the shop you only see what to get there, in a compact list. Prefer departments? Switch on "Group by department".
TICK IT OFF
Easy tick boxes. Ticked items drop into "In the trolley" so you can see at a glance what's still missing. When everything is ticked: "All done, Dad!"
SEND IT TO SOMEONE
Send the list as a normal WhatsApp, SMS or email message — anyone can read it, even without the app. Or send it as a list file that opens straight into DAD Shopping List on their phone.
GOT A LIST IN WHATSAPP?
Copy the message, tap "Paste a list" and every line becomes a tick box. Quantities like "Milk x2" are understood.
