Insulating a wall from the inside, closing a roof, renovating an old house: the question is always the same. Will water collect inside the wall, or mould grow on it? EQS Wall answers it in seconds, on your iPhone, your iPad and your Mac. One purchase covers all three.
YOUR WALL, LAYER BY LAYER
Start from an example close to yours, such as an old brick wall, inside or outside insulation, aerated concrete, a 1970s concrete panel, a timber frame or a roof. Change the materials and thicknesses with a tap. 67 common building materials come with typical values, and you can type in the figures from your product's data sheet.
A CLEAR ANSWER
Safe, Acceptable or At risk, with the reason in plain words: where the water condenses, how much, in which months, and whether the summer dries it out. A drawing shows the temperature and the dew point through the wall in the coldest month, and a chart shows the water over the year.
AND HOW TO FIX IT
When a wall fails, EQS Wall tells you what it needs: a vapour retarder of a given strength on the warm side, or enough insulation to keep the inside surface free of mould. One tap adds it, and you see the new result.
