Book Picker
Rediscover your own library
Free · In‑App Purchases
Choose your next read from the books you own: a no-repeat random cycle, a daily suggestion, saved reading preferences, and reading lists.
Your next read may already be on your shelves.
Book Picker helps you choose a book from your own library. Add books manually, look up an edition by ISBN, or import a BookBuddy CSV export. A new library starts empty: no personal catalog is included.
CHOOSE YOUR NEXT READ
• Random: filter your library and pick a book without repeats within a cycle.
• Book of the day: return to the same daily suggestion from your unread books that are not on loan.
• Pick by mood: combine reading criteria and save preferences to use again.
ORGANIZE YOUR BOOKS
Browse your library as a list or with book covers. Search by title, author, ISBN, or tag. Keep track of favorites, reading status, page progress, notes, and loans. Create reading lists and keep books for later.
Create, color, and assign tags, including to multiple books at once. Combine several tags when filtering results. Remove and restore tags, or place books in recoverable Trash, without permanent deletion.
YOUR INFORMATION AND BACKUPS
Correct book details and customize covers while keeping the original imported BookBuddy fields. Import and export JSON library backups. Restoring a backup merges it with existing data; it does not replace the entire library.
ON YOUR DEVICES
The Apple Watch companion receives the iPhone library and lets you choose a book and change favorites and reading status. Transfers depend on WatchConnectivity availability. Your library is stored locally by default. Optionally enable private iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac using the same Apple Account.
Free download with a full 7-day trial activated in the app. After the trial, a one-time purchase permanently unlocks the features on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac with the same Apple Account. The reference price in France is €4.99; the applicable local price is shown by the App Store. No subscription and no automatic charge when the trial ends. Your books remain readable and exportable without purchasing.
The interface is available in French and English. No Book Picker account or advertising. Library data stays in local storage unless you enable iCloud sync, transfer it to your watch or choose to export it. ISBN searches, remote covers, and image searches use external services and require Internet access. ISBN scanning is optional and available on compatible iPhone and iPad models; manual entry remains available.
BookBuddy is a separate app. Book Picker reads its CSV exports without accessing your BookBuddy account. Book contents are not included or translated.
