Turn printed words into speech and translations with LumoSona. Point your iPhone camera at a product label, sign, menu, document or package and the app recognizes the visible text in near real time. HEAR WHAT YOU SEE • Read recognized text aloud with clear system voices • Pause or stop speech whenever you need • Copy recognized or translated text for use in other apps SCAN IN 9 LANGUAGES Recognize and read Hungarian, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese text. ON-DEVICE OFFLINE TRANSLATION On iOS 18 or later, translate between English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese. After Apple’s required language models are downloaded, translation works without an internet connection. Hungarian text recognition and speech are supported; offline translation to or from Hungarian is not currently available. LumoSona does not require an account, show ads, use analytics or collect personal data. Requirements: iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Offline translation requires iOS 18 or later and downloaded Apple language models. Recognition and translation availability can vary by device, language pair and text quality.
