Fullbleed: Full Width Safari

Wider pages on iPhone Duo

$0.99 · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.

Pages run to the edge of the iPhone Duo's front screen. One tap per site, three modes, and nothing leaves your phone. Free. On the iPhone Duo's front screen, Safari keeps its buttons in a vertical strip on the right edge and lays pages out beside it. That leaves a blank band behind the controls. Fullbleed lets a page use the whole width of the display, one site at a time. Three modes for every site: Off: Safari's own layout. Backdrop: the page background and fixed bars (headers, tab bars, banners) reach the right edge, while text and buttons stay clear of Safari's controls. In-flow images and headers keep Safari's width. This is the default for new sites. Full: everything, including text, uses the full width. It suits reading pages that have their own margins. A small square button sits in the strip next to Safari's own buttons. Tap it to step through Backdrop, Full and Off for the site you are on. When a site is set to Off, the button hides so it never sits over the page; the mode picker in the extension menu, or the Sites list in the app, turns it back on. The extension menu also shows what the page got, for example 382 to 466 pt. Fullbleed remembers the mode for each site. The Fullbleed app lists your sites, lets you change or delete a rule, and sets the default mode, the button position and whether headers keep clear of the camera and controls. Shortcuts actions set a site's mode, switch Fullbleed on or off, and read back the last page it widened. A Control Center toggle flips the master switch. Apple Watch: open any site from your wrist in the watch's own web view. The sites you set up in Fullbleed on the iPhone appear on the watch with their modes, and the pages you open there stay in a Recent list on the watch. Hand Off passes a page to Safari on your iPhone, where Fullbleed widens it on the front screen. Sites travel from your iPhone to your own watch and nowhere else, and typed addresses work without the phone nearby. Privacy: nothing leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics and no network requests. "Report this site" opens a mail that you send yourself, containing the address of the site you chose to report. Fullbleed only does something on the front screen of an iPhone Duo. On the inner display and on other iPhones it leaves pages alone. It does not work on every site, and the report button is there so you can tell me which ones. How to turn it on: open Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions > Fullbleed and switch it on. Then open a site in Safari, open the page menu, choose Manage Extensions and allow Fullbleed on that site. The app has a button that opens Safari's extension settings, and it also shows the three steps in case your iOS version lands on the top of Settings instead. Free, with no purchases. Requires iOS 27.1.
