Looks very nice, exactly what I needed. I did not want an app that imports/catalogs my books but just opens them, because I store and organize my books with Calibre (which is not a very good reader) and I also use iBooks and Kindle app, and don’t need yet another library. It comes with a very nice ebook manual which says the app also works for PDF’s but that’s not (yet, as of this review date) listed in the description in App Store, which is fair because the PDF reader is not really usable yet, at least with the pdf book I tried (vertical scroll rather than page flip which is fine, but the text rendering was poor quality). But I don’t really need a pdf viewer — I have other apps for that. Mostly I want this app for epubs and mobi. Still checking it out but so far I’m very happy with the purchase.

I gave this 5 stars 8 years ago and it is still my favorite text to speech (tts) E-reader. It is the easiest to use and I use it often. Message to developer: Please create an update that will work for the new updates to the MAC OS this year (2026). I will pay for this app over again just to ensure it keeps working! Nothing else works so easily for me.

I use it as my default e-book viewer on my Mac. If you make your own epubs using "iBooks Author” or another editor, E-book viewer does a decent appoximation of what what they’ll look like when viewed with an e-reader, better than the built in ones on publishers sites or the ibooks viewer. Simply a very good value for the cost.
