Just What I was looking For (AnyTune Mac & AnyTune Pro )
Mookie 1823
This is an awesome application for musicians of all types. For me, an intermediate guitar player, is the best music application on the market. I have quite a collection of apps but nothing comes close to AnyTune. I also have Capo which is also a great application (chord recognition), however, it lacks the lyrics.I was using Capo to follow the notes (300 ) songs, however, I was having to print out the lyrics on paper (Not good!)When I found AnyTune, I was really excited and it solved my problem. Now, I can carry all my music on my iPad or my MacBook Pro, although I do all my music on my Mac first. Synching to iCloud is one of the other GREAT features of AnyTune. I put together the songs on my Mac, and then I synch my iPad and MacBook Pro, keeping all my devices up to date and synched at all times.I can’t really say enough about how great this application is. Perhaps the one suggestion I would give is, if you could marry Capo and AnyTune, you would have the greatest application for guitar players.Great Job!
It’s first rendition was excellent 12 years ago, nothing new since

I purchased this same app over 10 years ago for $50 (Windows). So when I switched to the Mac world a few years ago I saw that the product had changed hands and was re-branded (I think the older product was called ‘Slow Downer’ or something like that. The older product did allowed you to diminish the vocals and had a much more refiened way to isolate instruments (for real…not like trying to do it here with filters that seem to distort what you don’t want to hear instead of diminishing it. Now I hear they have a knew solution that brings back in the old functionality and are branding and selling it as ‘Re-Frame’ or something like that. It’s unfortunate that instead of growing their user base via osmosis, their going straight for the cash.Don’t get me wrong it’s still a great product for entry-level musicians but it’s also a very old product that has not changed at all as far as I can see in the last 10 or so years. They do have a free trial of this Re-Framing functionality, which I clicked on but nothing happened so I guess Ill have to play around with it and see if it added anything of value. If it’s going to cost more to add this new ‘re-framing’, which was already in the original product (albeit framed differently), I’m going to have to pass. I’d rather pay 3X as much for a more robust solution that will help me take it to the next level. Beginner level-great product. If you are a beginner I’d recommend you take a look at a couple of other options on the App Store, there’s one that does pretty much the same thing for $10. I give it 4 stars because it has helped me get annaly correct when I’m tabbing a tune’s…at least a couple hundred.

Thanks for the comments. Anytune is not or ever been on available on Windows. We are not related the app you used on Windows. ReFrame uses stereo separation to help you mute or solo an instrument or vocals. You "crop" the sound by excluding a range of frequencies within or outside a window in the stereo image of the stage. This can be much more powerful than using the EQ presets, another way to help dissect a song. ReFrame is included in the price, there are no in-app purchases. See anytune.us/reframe. We have a Free Trial of the entire Anytune for Mac App. Anytune has many features that have been suggested and requested by users. Contact us with questions.
Indispensible tool for virtual music classes
Ocband1
I'm an "old guy"/music educator trying to use technology in teaching virtually in these crazy times; proof you really can't afford to stop learning if you're going to keep doing what you are called to do.I've been using Anytune with mp3 playalong recordings that reside in my iTunes/iMusic lists in virtual ensemble classes (high school band). In jazz ensemble class, the tempo adjustment feature aids in getting students into transcribing and listening for detail and stylistic inflection. For larger ensembles (marching and concert bands), technical bits can be slowed down and perfected, gradually increasing the tempo as proficiency develops. While we can't play "together" accurately in a virtual world yet, the students can play along in their own 'real-time' practice room as they listen to the excerpt played from my workstation. I've encouraged all of my students to add Anytune to their devices! It will be valuable both now and once we're back together in person.
Anytune App Review – A Game Changer for Practice and Performance
DLMND
Anytune has become one of the most valuable tools in my musical toolkit. Whether I'm preparing for a performance or simply practicing a new song, this app consistently delivers. I use both the desktop and mobile versions, and together they offer a seamless, flexible experience that enhances every aspect of my musical workflow.Practice Made Precise:The ability to slow down tracks without affecting pitch has been a lifesaver—especially when learning fast or complex passages. I can loop difficult sections repeatedly, isolate parts, and gradually increase the speed as I improve. The pitch adjustment feature also makes it easy to transpose songs into different keys for vocal or instrument adaptation.Performance Ready:Anytune isn’t just for solo practice; it’s helped me prepare for live performances with confidence. I can mark sections of a song, rehearse intros, and lock in timing with the app’s detailed waveform and tempo control features. It even supports setlists, which keeps everything organized for gigs.Phone Desktop Sync:I love how the mobile app allows me to practice on the go, while the desktop version offers more precision and screen real estate when I need it. Both platforms are intuitive, reliable, and thoughtfully designed. The ability to sync settings and progress between devices means I’m never out of step with my preparation.Anytune has truly elevated how I prepare for music, it's like having a personal music coach and practice assistant in one. Whether you're a student, performer, or music teacher, I highly recommend it. It’s one of those rare apps that actually delivers on its promise, and then some.
