HOW IT WORKS
1. Place your coins on a flat surface (a sheet of white paper works best).
2. Hold your device flat over the coins. The label turns green when you are steady, and Photocoin snaps the photo automatically.
3. Tap the denomination of the highlighted coin so Photocoin knows the scale.
4. See your results instantly, with every coin circled and color-coded: green for pennies, turquoise for nickels, orange for dimes, blue for quarters.

TIPS FOR THE BEST RESULTS
- Use a plain, light background so the coins stand out.
- Spread the coins so they do not overlap. Coins can touch, but overlapping ones hide each other's edges.

Note: Photocoin recognizes United States coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters). Counting accuracy depends on photo quality and good separation between coins.
This app has a lot of bad comments but for me the the app is not bad. It works pretty well and actually counted my coins. It might get frustrating when you try to take a picture, but sometimes you might have to re take the picture. But you don’t have to totally re take it.

I got this app to try and I counted the money then I put it all together knowing how much money was their and then I took the photo and sale Ted to amount the coin it showed was and it only coculated 3 coins and I put 8 coins in the mix and it didn’t even tell me how much mone was in the pile actually going back on the app after writing this review I was playing around and I figured it out so it’s actually a print good app and it’s exactly what I was looking for in an app
Worst coin counter

I only tried to take a picture of seven quarters to test it out and get used to it. After five failed photo scans attempts, it counted three quarters and a penny. The total it found was 0.80. Even after removing the penny, it found 0.75. The other four quarters can clearly be seen and yet it will not count them. 100% needs work on and will not be using this app ever again. (Idk where it thought a penny=0.04. All it showed was that this app needs more work.)

the App has the right idea but not the right software. you can just use a calculator and count how many coins there are and multiply it by with the coin is worth. The app tells you your phone is tilted when it’s not, it doesn’t calculate some of the coins, and it tells you that there are no coins there.
Improved coin detection across the full frame, automatic photo capture when the device is held flat and steady, more reliable penny and dime distinction, and stability fixes.
