The software is fantastic, perfect for keeping track of receipts without needing to keep a box of receipts. The OCR is fantastic, almost perfect, although I do have some issues where is the receipt isn’t perfectly flat, the OCR will cycle through a few different shapes and I will quickly click when seeing a shape that works—only to have it recognize the next OCR shape and having to retake the picture. But for how well it pulls details off of receipts and checks (especially with my bad handwriting), the trade off is totally worth it. One other issue with the mobile app is often when opening the app, even after full close and open, the dashboard doesn’t populate, which makes it a little irritating when I would like to use one of the dashboard options. It’s great for keeping track of expenditures based off of the category of what my expenses were, which is great for watching spending on the things I want. It’s also been great during my interview process for sending itemized details for reimbursements to each company. My only real complaint is I wish there was a personal finance option as well as business. I don’t use it much for business at this point, and would benefit much better from a personal finance management option (some details provided or information required for filling out require you fill out business details). It’s a great program and I love almost everything about it, but it’s a bit irritating that such a program is limited itself to catering to businesses. I think they could really profit from opening a personal finance section/UI and providing services aimed towards that.

Was very disappointed when OneReceipt ended service and couldn't find anything to replace it. After months of searching, I found a link to this application in a Reddit post. Was skeptical at first since so many receipt apps were not as easy to use as OneReceipt, but this one has not disappointed. I've had it for about a year now and it is just as fast if not faster at capturing receipts and even digitizes text so that it's searchable.There are a few things that could be cleaned up. Right now I probably only need half of the features, but overall definitely usable. One killer feature that I've never seen before but would love for someone to developers is receipt purchase linking. Now that there are so many apps that can capture your debit and credit purchase history, it would be nice to have an app that links this info so you can verify how many receipts you are missing. Maybe it could even be a game where you try to increase the percentage of receipts you obtain every month. Thanks for a great app!

I've been using Veryfi over the 14 day trial period and have decided to try it out for a year. The character and information extraction from a pic of the receipt you snap with your phone worked almost flawlessly for all the times I used it except for one instance, extracting the total, tax and tip in addition to the name and address of the establishment on the receipt. To me, this feature of the app worked much better in practice than some comparable apps I tested. The reporting feature that lets you create CSV files for chosen periods or integrate with various services is also useful. Most valuable is the information security and data protection built into the app. The only complaint I have at this time is that the app and price points it is offered at seem to target small business owners. I'm only interested in using Veryfi for managing personal expenses, and I hope they will see the business case for making an offering for a version of PRIME for personal users at a price point that is fair for the features offered.

I’ve been using Veryfi for over a year and find it to be an exceptional program. Many years ago I grew tired of retaining paper receipts in random order and never being able to cross-reference purchases or any of the other things one might do with receipt data. I used Neat receipts and my laptop but frequently found myself rescanning items or waiting for the program to set up ready for use. When the laptop died I decided to check out phone apps that might replace the program I’d been using. Veryfi was a revelation with its quick entry - simply snap an image within the program and it automatically adjusts lighting and key-holing to present a clear, crisp image. It then automatically filled in much of the data from the receipt. The only fields I usually attend to are the particular credit card used and tip amount - and even hand written tip amounts are often read and entered by the program. I’m not a corporate user, just someone who likes to shred old receipts once they’re entered into Veryfi. I’m particularly impressed then, when I did have difficulty with the program (it took the image but would not upload the data at all), when Edward (one of the developers) responded very quickly and (through a series of rebuilds) corrected the error and had me back on track snapping receipts into the program within a day or so. It’s expensive for individual use but it really does the job and it does it really well. AND I was pleasantly surprised to note it also attempts to do OCR on the receipt - and that text can be searched!Well done lads!
