I have been looking for this for forever! I like Rock Meow. <3 (haha) Because calendars caused my eyes to swim and lose focus, lol, I liked how I could just scroll and see everything! I can change fonts and designs, which is awesome, and it’s just so motivational! It has changing quotes too! I hope for those of you, like me, who are bad at organizing things, that you give this app a try. I hooked it with my calendar and improved my organization. It’s not really for long term planning as it can’t plan further than a year from ‘today’, which changes depending on which day is today, lol! I like how that allows me to concentrate more on what’s up-and-coming rather than things far off in the future, which I use Calendar (the preinstalled iPhone app) for!! After a while of getting used to everything, I can honestly say this app is so amazing, so wonderful, and free, which makes me really love it 😍! I’m not exaggerating, because I’m usually a tough critic, and try out lots of apps, especially free ones, and am quick to delete what doesn’t serve me. I look at game apps, organization apps, schedule apps, coding apps, drawing apps, meditation apps, musical apps, informative apps, survey apps, job apps, educational apps, new apps, hidden/ unrated apps, etc! I’m not trying to brag about my experiences, I am just trying to say I have looked at many things and yeah- I find this app to be very pleasant, and hope to enjoy it further into the future. Thank you for making this app! 💕 🌈 💫

Thank you so much, the Master of All Apps, for writing this thoroughly thoughtful review!!! Please definitely let us know of any ideas and suggestions so we can make it better! For longer term planning, you could write "Fly to moon on July 4th 2020" and tap Calendar button ;)

I use this app everyday to help prioritize and juggle all the many aspects of my hectic life. I love the way that the calendar is also right there to see upcoming appointments and obligations. The best part for me, is that even at the end of the day, if I'm looking at a living room strewn with toys and laundry that didn't get folded, I don't feel like a failure, because Pendo allowed me to remember to call the insurance company, pay the bills, etc. without getting distracted by the obvious. My method is to make several to do lists each day, a must, should, and wish list, plus other lists that pertain only to my family. Musts are musts, they have to get done. Shoulds are things you should try to do, but it's unlikely you will get to all of them. Wishes are just that, wishes. Fun things that you like to do, but don't often allow yourself to indulge in.This amazing app helps me stay focused and I love it! :)

Great app but wish I could change more fonts

Pendo is simple to use and easy to organize and sync with my calendar. I’m not much for journals so can’t comment on that feature except to remind people it exists. Things I don’t like: the tiny font and color for dates in the main screen for the calendar, though simple in appearance which is good, the light gray in the tabs is really hard to see well on even a iPhone plus. Sure, I am getting older but I have my eyes checked every year and I don’t need bifocals to read yet! I’d use pendo more on my phone if I could control the tab color to help with contrast and change most default fonts and their color between day and night mode. Glad the option is there with notes, etc. But overall despite the truly elegant design, to me the fonts and tabs I can’t tweak ultimately cause eye strain and rather quickly. I’m not saying everyone of a certain age will have this issue. But It would keep from squinting if I could make the calendar font at least a different color for improved contrast and clarity and of course the tabs are great unicolored but if I could make the gray darker in day mode and a completely different yet unobtrusive color in night mode I could actually see them with ease.

Developer Response
Thanks for the detailed suggestions! We have already made contrast better in 3.7.2 and will adjust more in 3.7.3 - please update the app and let us know how you like them!

Update May 23, 2018App keeps getting better with added new features. Nice!Don't let this app's looks discourage you from giving it a shot.Just like everything's law in life - the looks is the first impression, and this one definitely could use a facelift. It's icon looks like it's been drawn by a 10 year old, the app is far from pretty and aesthetic. You immediately recognize it wasn't designed by a pro, and the same goes for the use of colors. And it looks nothing like the common organizer. So the first impression I got, was, what is going here?!And honestly, the reason I ended up liking it and use it daily, is by a random mistake! Because normally, I won't give it more than a couple of minutes before I delete it, after getting used to Fantastical, Evernote, and many of the other top of the charts apps, and it won't take their place. To me it's a hybrid between the simple note taker and a sophisticated calendar. It's a catch-all basket, since It combines a Journal, notepad, To Do list and a calendar (not the typical one), and accepts multitude attachment types, such as a note, web link, a contact, photo, etc..With smart little shortcuts, that makes it my daily driver, for dumping anything to it, without the need to think of which app would work best, as it connects to your calendar, your Addressbook, etc...One of my favorite features, is while adding a text block, you can pinch the page, just like used to zoom into a photo, and it uses the same animation, but it actually adjusts the font size! So if you end up writing a long scroll of text. With a pinch, it will fill the size of the screen - no need to scroll!

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! It's designed by 2 10-year mental age kids ;) We wanted Pendo to be like your everyday notebook, and if you want some sketches to become more serious then you can share them to wherever you like. Let us know of any other thoughts you get! Also if you update to the latest iOS, you'll get more updated Pendo as well - we used some iOS 10.3 technology so with iOS 9 only 3.4.3 is supported :(
