vooya is a scientific video player, most commonly used in video development, and has a variety of features which makes working with data easier for codec developers, signal processing experts, and film freaks. It is a player for raw data, but also for mp4 and mov containers; it shows HDR.
vooya also supports image sequences in TIFF, DPX, Radiance and OpenEXR, as well as the infamous y4m (YUV4MPEG) format or AVI.
The most unique features are the magnifier for pixel-exact view, difference views and PSNR/SSIM-calculation, grid overlay to visualize blocks, offline conversion tools for rotation and deinterlacing, and synchronized playing of multiple video files.
Color spaces supported include YUV, XYZ, YIQ, RGB, HSV, YCgCo, ICtCp and IPT (with PQ or without), Gray, with subsamplings 4:0:0, 4:2:0, 4:2:2, 4:4:4. Data packing can be planar, interleaved, UYVY, YUY2, YUV10, NV12/NV21 or special formats like v210, r210, v410, yuv10, P010, P016, RGB565, RGB555 etc. and even floating point raw data image.
vooya is backed with a powerful plugin interface.

Works Great!

I needed an app on the Mac that could read RGB24 and YUV video files. My only complaint about vooya is that none of the google searches and digging around the internet (not even ChatGPT) told me about it! I happen to know a guy that knew about vooya and that was my only clue. But it is a high performance app that has no trouble playing 4k files from a USB-C disk on my MacBook Air. So... I'll give it 100%. One small suggestion: consider adding Lua scripting. I'm always a huge fan of applications that give me that. The plug-in API is super nice too, though. Great work!
It keeps crashing when playing 1920x1080 yuv

The app keeps crashing when it plays 1920x1080 yuv source. The format is YCbCr420 and 10bits. Not sure if it is a memory issue. But I think my iMac Pro has 32G memory without running any other heavy app should be fine. Hope it will be fixed ASAP. From feature wise, I like it.
• HDR rendering
• A new metadata info window
• More information about the video properties in video info
• Multi-view HEVC MOV/MP4 get their first/left view decoded
• Copy Path feature
• … and - this time - no fixes.
