Mini is now a compact panel that stays on top of your other apps. It lists the signals waiting for an answer, with who sent each one and how long ago, a one-tap acknowledge for each, and the emergency button. An emergency brings the full screen back, even when it was minimized. The panel always opens where you can move it. Also: answering an older signal no longer silences a newer one that arrives while you send. Your buttons and settings are kept.

One signal can now name more than one room, for example Dr. Needed Room 1 Room 2, in the order you pick them. Turn it on in Setup, Rooms & staff, then hold a room button to add another. In the Dynamic layout a Send button appears once two rooms are picked. The This screen tab in Setup is now called This device only. Your buttons and settings are kept.

Signals can now place patients for you: a Patient Ready signal to the waiting room adds the next patient, and the next signal to an exam room puts that patient there. Turn it on in Setup, Rooms & staff. AltoSignal can also come to the front when a signal arrives, where your device allows it. Reply buttons can be turned off for the whole office, and changes to them now show on every screen at once. After an update, AltoSignal reopens on its own on more devices.

A new office is now asked three quick questions the first time it opens the app, and gets its buttons, rooms, room states and floor plan to approve before anything is saved. Your buttons and settings are kept.

Simpler setup: Setup is now four tabs, and a new office answers three questions or describes itself in a sentence to get its buttons, rooms and floor plan. Draw your floor plan from a photo of a fire escape plan or a sketch. Ask how to do something at the top of Setup and get the steps. Room cards do more from the main screen: tap a card to add a patient, move, rename or remove them, set their status, or start a timer on the room. Cards are one size and show how many patients are in each room. A running timer fills the card as it counts down and glows red when it runs over. The floor plan keeps itself up to date: answer a signal with On My Way and you move to that room on every screen, even when the signal or the answer is typed. Replies in your own words are understood, and Button Setup marks the ones that move people. Someone nothing has placed for an hour shows as last seen, so the plan never guesses. Who's in today: see which staff are in, at lunch, out or away, and hear each arrival. History beside any view: every message in a side pane on a larger screen. Move someone into a room and one tap tells them. Starter buttons now set up the whole office, floor plan and theme included, with no limit on rooms. A status can count down. Put a patient in a room and the card counts down, then flashes red until someone changes it, and it keeps counting past zero so you can see how long they have waited. Sound: the alert is louder, and it can repeat until someone answers. Each device gets a volume slider. A sound per Who button, so the tone says who is being called. Compose: hold a button to address more than one person at once, and Dynamic layout gets a Next button. A long message shrinks to fit the banner. Also: the account screen shows a notice when your account needs attention, and the web links open your account page.

Dynamic layout: a new arrangement that shows one button set at a time. Pick who, then what, then where, and the last press sends.
