Game of Tones originally started in 2013 when I moved to China and began learning Chinese in Beijing. Mandarin tones were one of the first things I wanted to practice outside class, so I asked my Chinese teacher to help record the audio and turned the exercise into a small game. Yep, That's her voice, thanks a lot WuYuan teacher!
The idea is deliberately simple: listen, choose the tone, repeat, and gradually train your ear and become familiar with the mandarin tones naturally.
If you are learning Chinese, studying Mandarin pronunciation, practicing pinyin, or simply having trouble hearing the difference between Chinese tones, Game of Tones gives you a quick and focused way to practice in a natural way, and fun and challenging at the same time.
