NetAdmin - Network Scanner
LAN scanner, SNMP & ping tools
$29.99
New: Security Audit, Digital Presence, Internet Health, DNS Benchmark, DHCP Discovery, and a Mac Wi-Fi Scanner. Plus Speed Test history and on-device fingerprinting.
NetAdmin is a complete network administration toolkit for your local network. Scan a subnet, see every device that answers, and drill into each host: reachability, round-trip time, open ports, hostname, MAC and vendor. Everything runs on-device — no accounts, nothing to sign up for.
DISCOVER YOUR NETWORK
• Fast subnet ping sweep with a live reachable/latency readout
• Per-host detail: hostname, MAC address, OUI vendor and country, open ports, IPv6 addresses
• Device Identity: on-device brand/model/OS fingerprinting from UPnP/mDNS/hostname/OUI signals
• Bonjour / mDNS service discovery across ~40 service types (AirPlay, HomeKit, printers, file sharing, and more)
• Bluetooth LE device inventory
• Automatic device-type classification and icons
• Rename any host, and add notes and tags that survive re-scans
• Custom scan port list, and CSV export of hosts, Bonjour and Bluetooth results
MONITOR IN REAL TIME
• Live ping-reply latency and packet-loss graphs, per host
• RTT min / avg / max / current / jitter and loss statistics
• Optional automatic re-scan on a schedule you choose
• New-device alerts: get notified when a never-before-seen device joins
• Scan Diff: compare two scans to see which devices were added, removed, or changed
• Digital Presence: person-to-device profiles, who's-home status, and a network event timeline
• SNMP Walk over v1, v2c and v3 (USM authentication + privacy, SHA/AES)
• Module-grouped MIB tree browser with filter and search
• Import your own private MIB files
• Live monitoring: pick numeric OIDs (counters, gauges, timeticks) and graph them over time
• Save walks and export results as TXT or CSV
• Pull the ARP table to auto-fill host MAC addresses
TOOLS HUB
• Subnet Calculator — netmask, wildcard, network, broadcast and usable host range from any CIDR
• DNS Lookup — A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME, PTR, NS, SOA, SRV, CAA, SSHFP records and a DNSSEC indicator
• DNS Benchmark — ranks public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, OpenDNS, AdGuard) by response time
• DHCP Discovery — best-effort enumeration of DHCP servers on your LAN
• Port Checker — test whether a TCP port is open and read its service banner
• HTTP / TLS Inspector — response headers plus certificate common name, issuer, validity and SANs
• Speed Test — 10-second parallel measurement per direction with loaded latency (bufferbloat), an animated gauge, selectable servers (Cloudflare or public LibreSpeed), history and a trend chart
• Security Audit — on-device network security score (A–F) from risky open LAN ports and a router UPnP/IGD exposure audit
• Port Forwards — view, add and remove your router's UPnP port forwards, all on-device
• Wake-on-LAN — save named groups of devices and wake them together
• Topology Map — a visual map of the devices around your gateway
• Wi-Fi Scanner (Mac) — nearby access points via CoreWLAN: SSID, signal, channel, band and security
MORE NETWORK TOOLS
• Traceroute with per-hop geolocation, on-demand WHOIS, and a full-screen map on iPhone
• Ping Test to any host or domain with latency and loss graphs
• Network topology and interface details, public IP, Wi-Fi information
MADE FOR YOUR DEVICES
• Universal three-column layout that adapts from iPhone to iPad to Mac
• Save multiple networks and review them offline
• iCloud sync keeps your saved SNMP servers and bookmarks in step across your devices
• Privacy option to mask the device-specific half of MAC addresses
PRIVACY
NetAdmin works entirely on your device and over your local network — no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Location is used only to read the current Wi-Fi name (to label saved networks) and, on Mac, to list nearby access points in the Wi-Fi Scanner; Bluetooth and Local Network access are used only to discover the devices you scan.
SPEED TEST, REBUILT
• Measures for a full 10 seconds in each direction over several parallel connections, so fast links are actually measured instead of finishing before they ramp up — gigabit connections now report accurately
• TCP slow start is excluded from the result, so the number reflects your real throughput
• Loaded latency: see your latency while the connection is saturated, next to the idle figure — the gap is bufferbloat
• An animated gauge for the download and upload phases
• Choose your server: Cloudflare by default, plus public LibreSpeed servers worldwide, with "Find fastest" to rank them by measured latency
SHORTCUTS & SIRI
• Run common actions hands-free: scan your network, check whether a saved device is online, run a Speed Test, get your public IP, and check internet status
PORT FORWARDS
• A new Tool to view, add, and remove your router's UPnP port forwards, with a confirmation before every change (entirely on-device)
TRACEROUTE
• The host field moves into the navigation bar, giving the map more room; Trace and Stop are now icons
• Going back no longer leaves the hop list stuck on screen
• New ∧ / ∨ buttons step through the hops on the map, recentring as you go
• The selected hop is easier to read
• When hop locations can't be looked up, the app now says so instead of quietly dropping them
DEVICE MAP
• The Topology Map moves out of the Tools hub and becomes the Device Map tab inside Network mode — renamed because "topology" was ambiguous. It fans every scanned device out around your gateway, right alongside Network mode's diagram of the path out to the internet: two views of the same network, now in one place.
• On iPad and Mac the tab sits beside the diagram; on iPhone it's at the top of the Network screen.
• iPad: tapping a device on the map now opens its details — the popup used to come up empty.
• The device popup is taller, so Round Trip, MAC and Vendor are visible without scrolling.
TRACEROUTE (iPad & Mac)
• The route map is on screen from the start instead of a placeholder.
• New ∧ / ∨ buttons step through the hops plotted on the map, recentring the map and scrolling the list to match.
• Fixed: with no hop selected, the ∨ button used to jump to a dead end instead of starting at the destination.
• Fixed: hop-list text was cut off with an ellipsis instead of wrapping.
SUMMARY TAB
• Network mode opens on a new Summary tab that puts every section on one scrolling page — this device and its interfaces, the active interface and Wi-Fi details, the subnet, connected hosts, the router, your public network and its history, and internet status.
• On iPad and Mac it sits beside the network diagram; on iPhone it's at the top of the Network screen.
• Connected Hosts and Network Interfaces show the first eight rows, then a "+N more" row that opens the full list — so the sections below stay reachable.
• The interface list leads with the one actually being scanned, instead of loopback and tunnel devices.
INTERNET STATUS IS NOW MEASURED
• The Internet section used to repeat your public IP and guess "Reachable" from whether that IP was known. It now runs a real reachability check and reports Online or Offline, plus how many outages this device recorded in the last 30 days. No outage or status service is contacted.
FIXES
• ISP details no longer come up blank until you leave the screen and return.
• Tapping the network node you're already on opens its details again.
• The Device Map's network picker no longer wraps mid-word.
ALSO
• Host detail shows CPU/Model only for this device — it previously showed the scanning device's own hardware on every host
• Korean and Japanese localization for the new screens
