The app has honestly been great for our planning process, but there are a few problems I’ve had with it! Our wedding is on Eastern Time, but if a guest uses the Add to Calendar button on our schedule page (which we can’t hide or remove), it doesn’t include the time zone so their calendar invite will have the incorrect start time. I’ve also noticed a few things in the app (specifically under Guest Lists) that I wanted to share for feedback purposes. You have to designate a primary and secondary guest, so my fiancé is listed as my “guest” and my dad is listed as my mom’s “guest” - and their search functionality only works for the primary guest, so if I search for my dad in our guest list, I wouldn’t be able to find him! It also labels subsequent guests as “child” which is weird for a multi-generational home. Overall, our experience with Zola has been fantastic, and I understand that the app is free so my expectations shouldn’t be through the roof, but I wanted to share these thoughts in the spirit of inclusivity and continuous improvement! I have had presents disappear from the gift tracker and then show back up weeks later. I was broken hearted when I thought friends hadn’t given me gifts even though I’ve always given gifts. Turns out they did purchase stuff but it never showed up in my account and still hasn’t. They even got confirmation numbers but still nothing has showed up into my account. Imagine my embarrassment when I realized friends I had been extremely upset with, for I have always been a thoughtful friend, were actually thoughtful friends too.. I still have yet to see their presents show up on my account. I’m a hairstylist and I just asked my client to donate $1 to my honeymoon fund cause I wanted to see if maybe it just takes a week or so to show up; her $1 donation showed up immediately… I’m extremely upset that not only have I not received presents that friends showed me their confirmation number but that I also spent the almost 3 weeks after my wedding believing that my friends were thoughtless people who were bad friends. I will never recommend this website to anyone which is bad for them because as a hairstylist with around 1,500 clients who lives in Charleston(which is actually the number 1 destination wedding spot) I could have generated a lot of business for them

I love Zola and the app, I even switch over from a different wedding website to use Zola! But my only 2 complaints: 1. Pleaaaaaaase make notification settings in the app so I can shut of notifications for gifts!!! I can shut it off for emails, but I keep getting notifications when someone buys a gift off my registry and it's ruining the surprise! My only option is to turn off all notifications in my phone settings and I don't want to since I like other notifications like RSVP!2. I hate the "group invite" how it lumps everyone together for every event always. I wanted to use Zola to have people RSVP for my shower by creating a separate event, but I couldn't invite just the female of a couple, it was both or none. Otherwise I would have had to go and separate all the couples and invite everyone individually but that would ruin other things like invitations. I also dislike that for a "family" you can only have two adults and the rest have to be classified as children. A family can be all adults!
