Gin Rummy is a good app for wanting to learn a new card game. This app helped me how to learn to play Gin Rummy in one day. Although everytime you win or your opponent wins an ad comes up which can get a little annoying. I do like that you can pick easy, normal, and hard to play against your opponent. This app is fun for when you are bored or want to learn something new. This game is fun in my opinion that i have spent (wasted) a lot of my free time playing this game. Although i have to admit, it did make my power (charge) go by faster than usual. It is great for beginner Gin players to get better. Overall i really like this app and i think you should install it and if you don't like it then delete it. And

Definitely a great beginner App. I would love to see new algorithms or an additional version put in place for those who wish to have a longer game and strategize a bit. The app becomes predictable after a few weeks of using. I do not care for the pop up marketing peice after each game, yet one can easily get back to their game and attempt to view final scoring. The difficulty at this stage is the graphics that cover the cards and make it super difficult to see deadwood and how the hand palyed out. It is not worth my time and is super annoying to try to see how one wins or loses. It's great to win yet, the balloons and the confetti are a bit much. For those who take the game seriously I recommend a possible version II with added difficulty smaller graphics indicating a win or a loss. Have fun with the app and if you like it ask for an additional upgraded version.

Gin Rummy has been a recognizable name in card playing for as long as I can remember. All of a sudden we (Gin Rummy and I) cross paths on the internet, play a game or two, get the hang of it and all of a sudden I’m aware as to why it’s been around for so long. It’s fast, fun and a challenge of how quickly you can build and rebuild a hand. Not as many “Gin” calls as I might have expected, but fun nonetheless. As a game, it’s easy to unexpectedly slam the door shut on your opponent….. and perhaps even 'ticking them off' if they take the game too seriously. But in this app version, you won’t get anyone angry with you nor lose any friends over it. Enjoy!!

This game is fun, and I've spent (wasted) a lot more time than I'd care to admit by playing it. But it is annoyingly slow: animations are time-consuming and after a while, they are just pointless annoyances, and you cannot disable them. The AI for the computer player is far too predictable and simple-minded, so it's rather easy to win most of the time with a fairly simple strategy of holding higher cards for the first 5-7 turns. I'm now uninstalling this app for one critical reason -- the app EATS power. I've never had anything on my MBP that drains the battery as fast as running this app! There is no reason for it -- the animations do not need to be there and should be optional. But even if they aren't optional, there is no justification for how much power they consume. If you play this game for a full hour, it will drain a MBP with a healthy battery from full to near emergency shutdown!
