I'm not sure when I wrote this first review but I'd guess prior to 10/17. I love Track Kit- it has a nice collection of features and they generally work well. If I'm using it regularly, navigating the app is very clear. If I'm not I need to re-orient myself since the interpretation and clarity of symbols is not always clear.The negative? Tracking the location is either always on or always off. I just checked to see where my battery power was going and, surprisingly the largest category is Track Kit, both in the last 24 hours and last seven days. I don't think I've used it in the last week but I had spent some time resetting location tracking a few days ago. I guess that's when the power consumption ramped up although Chrome is much worse. It's not OK to compare two very power hungry apps and conclude one is slightly less awful than the other.I don't understand why my choices for this app are to either track never or always. What's it doing fiddling around in the background, consuming 36% of my battery? Of course there are plenty of apps that allow me to track my location only when the app is open. That makes sense so I can have a choice getting the data it's gathering when I'm not using it, whatever that is, or not.I downloaded maps before we left home but was unable to access and navigate them reasonably when we had no decent internet access. They were supposed to help us find mountain bike trails in South Dakota but didn't. October 2017- I had to reload this but couldn't find it- too many with similar names- I really missed the golden hour, etc. Easiest one around with the most comprehensive data.2/6/18 I'm going to take the risk of downloading this in a couple days with hopes battery drain problems have been addressed.

Works very well!! Tracks everything you could want to track. An very accurate. Wish it didn't run in the background at all times you have to remember to put on gpa save mode when you don't want to use it or it will track everything an everywhere you go!! I only wish they make it to track when the app was open an running in background but if you double click your home button an manually close the app from the background that it would stop tracking you an free up memory, not that memory on the 6splus is a big deal still nice it don't drain the battery when you aren't using it . Why I'm ranking 4 stars but still a very nice put together app an well worth the price ! An no bugs!!!! As of yet lol

Nice app for tracking hikes or bike rides, etc. Nice to see your track on a map, and the elevation history, and to be able to sync the data to their web site for easier viewing. Speed is very noisy but I’m sure that’s a GPS limitation. Also occasionally I get points that are far off of my track, which mess up the view, but again I would imagine that is a GPS issue.

Apparently "route planning" features require leaving a review, so here's my review: The app developer apparently chose to force reviews in order enable features rather than creating a great product they could be sure people would want to review because of the obvious quality. I can't review the feature that's locked because it's locked, I guess. But it's confusing because the wording was funny... "Do you want to leave a review and have the possibility of using route functions...." I guess I'll have to see if I get the feature or not. Maybe a sour review results in no feature? Who knows. Otherwise the app seems really quite good. This whole bit perplexed me and strikes me as a bit odious.
