Based on “my” experience”, I would actually place this app in the top 3. The app interface is a bit weird because of the “roses” and all these other gimmicky props that you’re able to “gift” women but honestly you can just ignore that feature completely. The app will show you many profiles from people literally living around the world so you kinda just have to keep combing through profiles until you find one that lives near you. Luckily I live in Miami so I find a good chunk of profiles that live near me. Also, if you’re just “liking” profiles you may not always get the girls attention so I find value in paying here and there for the ability to send messages every now and then (yes I know paying money on a dating app is seen as taboo but I look at finding a partner as an investment so it won’t hurt to spend $50). Bonus tip: there is a feature called “lucky spin” which you basically spin a wheel once a day & it’ll give you a prize which could be free messages or super likes so if you’re really penny pinching you can just choose to spin every day. One annoying thing I do want to say tho is that a couple months back the app developers changed something to where people are able to send introductory messages to me even tho I haven’t like them. Now I have to have the app notifications off because I’m getting bombarded. PLEASE remove this!

First- I tried to change an already approved photo to be my main photo and I’m more than 24 hours of them “reviewing” it. This means I cannot boost my profile. I’ve had a total of 12 views on my profile today. 😑 Second- on “Luxy News” there’s a thing that tells you what you need to do to earn a Luxy Star. I have no idea what I need to do because when I click on it I am taken to a page that won’t load and I have to close out and restart the app. Third- I bought some sort of package yesterday for $29. It was something marked down. Apple gave me the “your purchase is confirmed” but immediately got a “purchase failed” from the app itself. I played around on it a few more hours (waiting for my still-not-approved photo to be approved again) and saw that package again so I clicked it again to see if now it will work. Once again, apple verified it went through, once again the app said it failed. This time I went to my bank website and saw that i was charged twice for something I never received once. I sent an email to their listed support email address with a screenshot asking to have those reversed. Nothing. I decided to wait and see if one fell off since they were both pending yesterday. Today I checked and they both went through. I reached out again. If I don’t hear back in a few days I’ll need to ask my bank to do a chargeback for goods not received. I’m running the latest version of IOS and I have made sure I have the most up to date version of the app.

God knows how much I missed this app. I really got sick of other crowded dating apps, sending me boring guys day by day. And the worst thing was, they didn't even talk. Just wished to get my Luxy contacts back. If you want to find some really good persons, try Luxy and get into the new world. I have had a great experience with Luxy. It's been even a part of my life. There I got to know many new friends from different countries. They're very intelligent and successful in their fields. And it's very fun to have parties with them. I have to say that Luxy has the most excellent profiles I've ever seen. Now it gives me another chance to find more possibilities. Oh..and I just wanted to let you know that your customer service is very nice. Always polite, especially when I asked when would Luxy be back on the App Store. Lol. Hopefully this time I can find someone to company with till the end of my life. Thanks, Luxy!I guess I have to update this review again because I find my partner on Luxy finally! To be honest, at first, my goal is not to find a boyfriend or so, I just want to find someone who can hang out and who can truly understand what I'm talking about but not thinking about putting their things inside me. But I found him... I found the one whom I wish I could have met earlier. This app really works and if you ever hesitate about wheater to try a dating app or not, stop hesitating, try Luxy first. I signed up for the 6 month Luxy Black membership and now using the app/site for about 4 days now. The site is less than user friendly. You have no option to set distance parameters to get matches that are geographically desirable. You are only given the option to pick any of the major cities such as ‘New York” or “Los Angeles”. For example, I set my age range to a 10 year range and chose New York as my location preference. 8 out of 10 of the matches I am getting are in Canada or somewhere in the Midwest which is way out of my preferred age range and location! Definitely not ideal for dating and I don’t care to long distance date..After contacting support the only instructions I got was to “broaden your age range and reset your preferences”. Well I don’t have any interest in dating someone 15 years older or younger than me and there are no other preferences to reset! In summary, the site looks really pretty, the guys are hot (if you are in the market for 20 yr olds) but it is not at all user friendly and not worth the $300 I spent for a 6 month membership. Stick with Match and Bumble. Cheaper with more filtering options, better results for a better price!
