Horrible, horrible, horrible. Nothing is as promised

Zoom promises a clean sanitized car, and a seamless customer experience; that statement is a joke. Arrived at the car’s location only to not find the car there, called customer service only to find out that the car is half a kilometer away. Now mind you we’re navigating narrow, dirty colony roads here. We get to a filthy car, only to find an overly rude and aggressive host. The app won’t unlock the car and the host won’t unlock it for us even after being on the phone with zoom customer service. We were then assigned a 2nd car a good 30km away. The 2nd car is filthy inside and out. We’re desperate now as every other aspect of our family trip is already booked and taken care of, so we reluctantly take possession of the car. The app is not working now, and we have to physically email the car’s pictures. We finally picked up the car at 8:15, that a good 2hrs and 15 minutes more than our original 6 am reservation. We spent a 1000 rupees to get the car thoroughly cleaned (at our expense) before we set out for our trip. This is the start of the trip and we’ll see how the rest of it goes. Zoom has nothing more than crappy, rundown, filthy taxis that they’re peddling as clean sanitized cars. We hope we’re never desperate enough to use zoom ever again, ever. I wish everyone who’s considering zoom the Best of Luck.
Worst experience from doing a booking to customer care to getting the car and driving the car

Dont know what to say. Very bad experience at each and every step. 1. Issue with booking. Need to book twice and bery very bad experience. 2. Customer support is second steps, called them 6 times and every time. I was told issue will be resolved but please guess, yes no resolution given. 3. I was told that will got call back thrice but again . No call back. 4. Now when time comes for drop off. Got a call that your car is dirty from outside and inside both do you still want it. So please call support and they arrange a another car in 2-3 hours. My plan was with other family members too, dont want to delay plan so i said give me dirty car, i will clean it myself. 5. Now car i booked is 7 seater, when opened the trunk last 2 seats are not in place and not even hooked into the car, they are like floating seats, back seat rest is lying down and no way can be fixed, no seat belts and drop off person said i cant do anything please call customer care, they will arrange something in 2-3 hours and mind i am already late for a planned trip. This are few issue but rest assure these are not all. I can write a book on it but after this i dontthink zoomcar deserve any more time from me.

Reserved a car for the weekend. Got a call from customer service 2 hrs before my reservation start time that the car is not available and they need to change cars. I selected a car and they told it was available. This was an airport pick, after multiple follow ups we found that the car is just picked up and cleaned. It was already an hour late, finally the car reached the airport and it had its window tinted beyond the allowed level. We would be stopped at every signal if we had rented the car. We were informed that zoom car center might have a car that we can swap. Now that was the 3rd swap. It is was 12 pm and our pick up was 10 am. Started calling customer care, this is where it gets interesting. After pressing 3 to reach an agent, I wait for 3-4 mins and the calls drops with busy tone. After mutiple attempts, finally got hold of them. We explained everything and they said they need another 15 mins and I mentioned I can wait on the line while they process the car swap and to my surprise they hung up on a customer. Never picked up calls again. We paid 7k and now we dont have a car and it is almost 1 pm. Drivers at the Zoom car center do not have any authority to do car swaps, “customer care” never picked up calls. Finally one of the driver in Zoom car center reached out to someone who had authority to swap cars and helped us get a car, someone who didnt have authority to change cars ended up helping us. Zoom car customer care who had all authority hung up on us. So incompetent. Thanks to that chennai zoom car rental office drive who helped us get the car. Zoom car, Please shut it down on the cities where you are incompent, please do not make false promises that you cant keep. Never renting here again.Good bye.

Just 3 words. “Don’t use Zoom”! I booked a car, paid the money, uploaded the driving license. Everything approved booking was confirmed and I was given a pickup location. Went there at 11:30 am as mentioned. But the mentioned car was not there! Called the customer care, I was informed that I will get a call back after the car has been located. Time 12:10 pm - customer car told me that the car is located at around 2 kms away from where I stand. I told that was not the location I was asked to pickup the car. I was put on hold for a while and was informed I will be provided with another car. 12:35 pm. One another rep called me and informed another location had more cars, I could go there to pick up the car. I was frustrated by then and told I would rather cancel my booking and would like a refund. Then that godly voice came in “Sorry sir we cannot refund the money” what the heck! I told her to connect me to a manager to discuss this. In the end I talked to 3 more person to get a confirmation to get the money refunded back!I have used other self driving rental car services. But Zoomcar did really messed this one up! IPhone application seems good. But the real service/management is bad.
