I had to let my previous markup app go, b/c I moved up to macOS Catalina, which is 64 bit. There are 3 problems with this app that slow down my productivity. 1) I need an app that recognizes URL syntax, and automatically makes it clickable in documents. 2) Every time I open 1Write I am searching for a document to read or edit. However, 1Writer's default is to search the entire computer, rather that the designated file folder of my docs. Having to click the name of that folder after attempting a search is an unnecessary step. It would also be helpful if the app would automatically reveal documents as you type the letters you are searching for (live search). 3) I am often moving from one document to another, and therefore want 1Writer to remain on the screen when I exit a document. It is a pain that every time I exit a document, I have to bring 1Writer up again. There should be an preference option to keep it on the screen in the background while editing a document. I do think this app can be very useful with these improvements.

Find is not working in current version :( - aug 2024I decided to try this because it's integrated across, Mac & iOS - I have been using Highland2, which is great. but for now is only mac. iWriter Pro, has a super clean interface, All the features I need (except a couple things which I will mention) and works seamlessly w iCloud and across devices. I'm very glad I spent the money. ASKS - Dev friends. When I'm writing (currently on a 100 ish page book) I like to leave comments I can return to. Can the 'comment' feature show in the list of headings (as an option)AND, I'm not sure if 'tasks' are intended as making checklists in a readable document, or as a tool for a writer to get stuff done... I would love a way to invisably (to the reader) add to do's in my document.Thanks again - great stuff
Enjoy it but wish I didnt have to buy it again for the ipad

I love using this to do my writing but often due to my ipad having internet at all times I tend to take that instead to write when im out. I guess I should have purchased this on there rather than my macbook. I wish I didnt have to buy this app twice just to be able to sync it across my devices. Its the one thing keeping my from rating it 5\
